Thanks to a walk-0ff three-run HR by Carlos Beltran, my 2-1 day turned into a 1-2 day yesterday, but thankfully my top play with the Mariners cashed. With a 33-19-1 record on my top plays since joining DRock sports (63.4%) I’m still cashing those at a very good rate and am looking to hit another one today.

Boston/Oakland Over 7.5 (-120) $360 to win $300

We’ve had two straight unders to start this four-game series off with Oakland coming out on top both times. That makes it eight straight meetings between these two teams that have stayed below the total (0-5 O/U this year) and it’s about time to flip the script.

Oakland starter Jessie Chavez has been a guy that’s used to seeing high-scoring games this year as total has finished with a 9-5 O/U record in his 15 starts this year. Part of that is because his A’s teammates give him 6.1 runs of support each time out as he hasn’t quite earned the same trust they have with others on the hill. With 82 hits allowed in 86 innings of work (20 in last 18), Boston will put some men on base quite often tonight and they’ve just got to start cashing them in. The Sox left 19 men on base last night in the 4-3 loss as they couldn’t cash those guys in but that will change with Chavez on the mound.

Oakland is 4-0 O/U in Chavez’s last four starts at home, 7-1 O/U in his last eight starts as a favorite and 8-2 O/U in his last 10 starts overall. This game will eclipse this 7.5 total.

Milwaukee/Colorado Under 11 (+100) $200 to win $200

Yesterday we saw a 13-10 score in the opener of this series as runs were coming fast and furious in the early innings. Many bettors will always live by the “what have you done for me lately” thought process and expect another shootout at Coors Field today. But it’s an early start time with the sun and shadows playing a role and this is another rivalry that should see the script flip today.

The over is a perfect 10-0 the last ten times these tow have met but with Wily Peralta on the hill for Milwaukee and his 5-9 O/U mark this year, getting to 12 runs will be tough. Colorado starter Christian Friedrich is making his first MLB start since 2012 and not one guy on the Brewers having any history with him, Friedrick has the early advantage with the element of surprise as Milwaukee hitters go up there looking to see what he has.

Finally, Colorado is 0-4-1 O/U the last five times they’ve played with a total of 11 or more and they are 2-6-1 O/U the last nine times they’ve been a home underdog. Add in Milwaukee’s 2-7 O/U record the last nine times Peralta’s been a favorite and their 0-3-1 O/U record int heir last four on the road against a south paw and we won’t see double-digit runs today.

Toronto ML (+116) $200 to win $232

After falling down 8-0 after the 2nd inning yesterday, Toronto’s bats finally came alive, tied it up 9-9 in the 8th inning, and put up a five-spot in the 9th to win 14-9. A win like that is precisely what this team needed to get back on track as it’s immeasurable how much confidence they’ll gain from that W. There were so many reasons to pack up shop and wait for today after that 8-0 hole they were in, but this Blue Jays team is different than in recent years. They fought back and got the W and I would not be surprised to see them go on a nice little winning streak in the coming days.
