I was 2-1 with my three MLB Plays yesterday and hitting my play of the day on the over in Tampa rather easily. Baseball is the only game in town tonight so it’s back to the diamond for my plays.

Philadelphia ML (+124) $200 to win $248

The Phillies have been god awful of late as their pitching has struggled mightily and they can’t seem to get the key hits when they need it. It’s a shame to see an organization that was so good in the late-2000’s get marred in such a downward spiral like this but the league always fluctuates and Philadelphia has to adapt.

But for as bad as Philly has been, the Reds have been worse against left-handed pitching all year. Hamels is a guy that has owned Cincinnati throughout his career and his lone win of the season came in a 12-1 romping of the Reds about a month ago. He is just the guy this team needs on the hill tonight as this six-game losing streak for the Phillies ends tonight.

Cleveland ML (+155) $200 to win $310

This play is all about a surging Indians team that just swept their six-game homestand and goes into Texas to play a Rangers team they beat five of six times a year ago. One of those wins (1-0) came against Darvish so the Indians won’t be intimidated/fooled by what the Japanese sensation throws at them.

Texas is also being severely over-valued in this spot in my opinion as they are only 5-11 SU after their last 16 victories and just avoided getting swept by the Orioles last night. Trevor Bauer is an up-and-coming sensation and he should be able to match Darvish pitch for pitch. If that happens give me the +150 underdog every time.

Houston/Minnesota Over 7.5 (-115) $345 to win $300

The Astros aren’t that weak-hitting, HR-relying offense anymore after management made the decision earlier this year to call up some of their big time hitting prospects. George Springer brought a tremendous lift to this offense and he’s really found his groove in the majors over the last few weeks knocking balls out of the park almost every night. Well, the Houston front-office was at it again with the Jon Singleton call-up and this team has really got some great confidence at the plate right now.

Minnesota has been mashing the ball as well after their series with Milwaukee and they’ve been a great ‘over’ team all year (34-22 O/U). The pitching matchup of Keuchel/Hughes has given us a low number because of some very good outings by both of late, but that will change tonight. Over 90% on the under in this game, yet the ‘over’ is favored? That’s all you need to know right there.
