GM 975 Reds ml +185 (Sports Interaction) risking $200 to win $370
Great spot here to sell high on the Rangers and Colby Lewis. Lewis hasn’t lost this season and now priced in the Kershaw, Sale and Noah Synndergaard range. The Texas Rangers have the second best record in baseball behind the Cubs and have been favored only twice in their past 25 games, now -185 to -200 depending. I know Votto is resting tonight, but the Reds have batters who can hit in this hitters park and now the market has taken notice to this Rangers win streak and that Lewis hasn’t lost this year. Rangers have won 7 straight and 9 of their last 10 games and this is the time to sell on them as I believe this is the highest their stock has been all year. Lewis who is 36 had trouble keeping his ERA under 5 the past 4 years and now this year it’s 2.81, there is a correction coming to stat. Lewis has a 37%/44% ground-ball/fly-ball split, a fastball averaging 87.5 mph and a 7.9% swing and miss rate according to fan graphs. These are not stats that make him a -200 starter today, the general public looks at a 2.81 ERA and truly does not look beyond that stat. Time is now to start to sell on the Rangers and buy low on the opposition as I believe they have hit their season high.
