Wednesday June 4th Betting Action

Got back into the winner's circle with last night's 2-1 day on the diamond. My play of the day on the over in LAA/Houston with C.J Wilson on the road cashed and his starts away from home are going to be something you should keep on eye on the rest of the year. No time to dwell on yesterday's results though so let's get right back at it with tonight's plays. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts "to win" on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold NBA YTD: 12-13-1 (-$187) NHL YTD: 9-12-2 (-$177) MLB YTD: 47-53-6 (-$229) NHL Plays NYR/LA Under 5 (-117) $351 to win $300 Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals tonight and with nerves a plenty on both sides and two of the best goalies in the world in between the pipes, I don't believe we will see one of those track-meet games we saw plenty of last round. Four of the last six Game 1's in the Stanley Cup Final have stayed under the total of 5 and those two 'overs' came in the years when Chicago was involved. This series will be one where the defensive aficionados stand up and watch with excitement after a very high-scoring post-season so far and it starts tonight with Game 1. MLB Plays Boston ML (+126) $200 to win $252 Boston is looking to avoid getting swept tonight and I believe they make good on that goal. Cleveland's Corey Kluber has been spectacular for the Indians this year - especially at home - but this is a young pitcher that is long overdue for a regression to the mean. Boston's bats started to wake [...]

Wednesday April 30th Betting Action

I was 1-3 last night with my plays but thankfully that lone winner was my big one that was never in doubt on the under in the Wizards/Bulls game. Baseball was frustrating as there were a few other plays that I left off my board that turned out to be good (Oakland being one) but that's neither here nor there at this point. This site is all about providing winners for you guys out there and I'm on a mission to do a better job of that. Tonight's card is a lively one with three Game 7's in the NHL, three NBA playoff contests and a full slate of MLB games. This is who I'm on. All lines taken from Carbon Sports with bet amounts "to win" on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold NHL YTD: 2-3-1 (-$14) MLB YTD: 3-7-1 (-$766) NBA YTD: 5-5-1 (+$158) NBA Plays: Houston Rockets -5 (-110) $330 to win $300 Portland won both games in Houston to start the series and I have a tough time believing they'll make it three in a row. Historically the numbers are astronomically against the Blazers to do so. A team that is up 3-1 in an NBA series and playing Game 5 on the road (Portland) is 17-48 SU in Game 5 in all rounds of the NBA Playoffs and only 2-16 SU when it happens in the first round. Washington's win in Chicago last night was the second time the road team got the W and I doubt it happens twice in 24 hours after only happening once before in the entire history of the league. Winning SU and covering this five-point spread are two different [...]

Bet Card for Monday

I hope we all increased our bankrolls yesterday with my 5* play on Golden State.  Also cleaned up on my 3 added bonus plays in total going 4-0 on NBA Sunday.  Also follow me on twitter @d_rocksports for some halftime action bets yesterday going 1-0 on my free twitter plays. All lines courtesy Pinnacle Sports My top rated play of the day is: LA Kings money line -118 (3*) - San Jose is struggling defensively and as a result their goaltender is getting the boot tonight.  The Sharks are starting their back-up goalie Alex Stalock on the road in LA.  The Kings finally got the goaltending they needed last game with a 3-0 win in the shark tank.  I see another one of those performances tonight from the Kings a low scoring affair with Quick being the difference maker. Kings 3-1 I'm also backing: St. Louis run line -1.5 +148 (3*) - Brewers P Yovani Gallardo is 0-8, 8.17 ERA in last 10 starts vs. the Cardinals plus the Brewers will be without Ryan Braun and Jean Segura tonight witch is a huge loss for the team.  Look for St. Louis to batt around Gallardo and cruise to an easy win. Atlanta/Pacers UNDER 186.5 -108 (2*) - The total has gone under 3 straight games in this series and I don't see it changing at all.  Both teams play defense first and like to run down the shot clock look for that trend to continue. Added Bonus for the Parlay lovers: Kings ml, St. Louis run line -1.5, Hawks/Pacers under 186.5, Pens/Columbus over 5.5 4 teamer - +1867

Monday April 28th Betting Action

Yesterday was not a good one by any means as I only won one of my 7 plays for the day and really cut into my profits. Poor play by the Rockets down the stretch to let Portland overtake them while eventually forcing Overtime killed my Play of the Day for it to be the first loser on that front. Bad days like that will happen in this business though and it's important to not let it rattle you going forward. Here are today's plays as I'm looking to get back into the win column tonight. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts "to win" on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold NHL YTD: 2-2 (+$228) MLB YTD: 2-5-1 (-$696) NBA YTD: 4-3 (+$286) MLB Plays: Pick #1 and #2: Chicago Cubs ML (+118) $200 to win $236 and Chicago/Cincinnati Over 7.5 (-103) $309 to win $300 - The Reds took two of three @ Wrigley about a week ago and return home for the first time tonight after a 10-game road trip that started against these Cubs. Cincinnati is 1-8 SU in their last nine Game 1's and 2-7 SU in their last nine at home against a righty, so look for Samardzija to get his revenge tonight. - Cincinnati is also 6-1-1 O/U after a road trip of 7+ days and with the Cubs being 6-0 O/U after a victory this year, look for more at least 8 runs to be scored tonight after these two starting pitchers met last week and only gave up 5. Pick #3: Oakland A's ML (+120) $300 to win $360 -After getting swept at home by Texas a week ago [...]
