Thursday Bet Card

0-2 yesterday with NBA totals, both teams cruised over their respected totals.  Tonight look to rebound with 2 MLB plays and 2 NBA plays. All lines courtesy Pinnacle Sports Top play highlighted in bold Jays ml -115 (3*) - Jays losers of 2 straight at Kansas City will look to take at least one game against them before heading to take on the Pirates for a weekend series.  Beuhrle takes the mound tonight and got roughed up last outing.  He has faced the Royals 52 times and is 23-12 against them with a 3.66 ERA.  Jays need to win this one to at least try and keep pace with the others in their division so look for them to put a decent effort in and I see Buehrle getting the job done tonight. Boston Red Sox ml Game 2 -107 (2*) With the Rays taking the first game of this double header in a low scoring affair, I tend to always flip flop the night game in a double header. Memphis +3 (bought) -120 (3*) - Memphis will want to end this series tonight at home and not want to travel back to Oklahoma City and play game 7. "Mr. Unreliable" will be just that and let the team down for a second straight year against the Grizzles. Atlanta -1 -109 (3*) - Atlanta will want to close this thing out tonight and it's a short price here for them to win.  The Pacers will try not to think about this crazy collapse since the end of January and will look forward to next season

Thursday May 1st Betting Action

Thanks to a couple of empty net goals by LA, my three Unders in NHL Game 7's went from a possible winning or break-even day to a losing one with those three plays going 1-2. Thankfully I hit my play of the day on the Rockets as they showed up at home and forced a Game 6. I would not be surprised to see that series go the full seven games as well but I'll get to that game when it comes up tomorrow. Today it's getaway day in MLB with numerous double-headers after a rainy start to the week and it's on the diamond where two of my three plays come from tonight. All lines taken from Carbon Sports with bet amounts "to win" on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold NHL YTD: 3-5-1 (-$224) MLB YTD: 3-7-1 (-$766) NBA YTD: 6-5-1 (+$458) NBA Plays: Oklahoma City/Memphis Under 185.5 (-110) $330 to win $300 After four straight overtime games in this series I think we see the defense continue to reign supreme in this series and someone winning this one in regulation. If it weren't for all the overtimes this series would have a 1-4 O/U record rather than a 3-2 O/U mark as 'under' bettors have been continually getting burned. With the Grizzlies at home trying to move on and the Thunder looking to force a Game 7, tonight's game will be a defensive struggle down to the core with the first team to reach 90 likely coming out on top. MLB Plays:  Seattle ML (+138) $200 to win $276 The Yankees were grossly overpriced in the opener of this series back on Monday and the Mariners took advantage [...]

Tuesday April 29th Betting Action

Yesterday was a rather frustrating day in the sense that I had weather postpone the Cubs/Reds game that I had two plays on and two of my other bets pushed on the number. Indiana had no chance of covering their spread and thanks to Patrick Roy's tactics of pulling his goalie with plenty of time left, Minnesota's empty-netters put me in the loss column. It's on to tonight's board though and with only one game in the NHL, it's baseball and basketball that I've devoted my attention too. All lines taken from Carbon Sports with bet amounts "to win" on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold NHL YTD: 2-3-1 (-$14) MLB YTD: 3-5-1 (-$336) NBA YTD: 4-4-1 (+78) NBA Plays:  Pick #1: Washington/Chicago Under 183.5 (-110) $330 to win $300 - All four games of this series have gone over the number so far, but with the Bulls in the surprising spot of facing elimination tonight I believe they turn up their defense to yet another level and make this game a race to 80 points. Washington has proved that they've got the better scorers throughout the first four games and with more scoring options to go to, Washington's chances to win increase the higher scoring this game becomes. Chicago won't go down without a fight and likely aren't going to lose all three at home in this series, so for them to force a Game 6 they'll have to rely on that top ranked defense from the regular season to get the job done. Pick #2: Golden State/LA Clippers Under 210 (-110) $220 to win $200 - This game is going to have a very eerily feel to it [...]

Bet Card for Monday

I hope we all increased our bankrolls yesterday with my 5* play on Golden State.  Also cleaned up on my 3 added bonus plays in total going 4-0 on NBA Sunday.  Also follow me on twitter @d_rocksports for some halftime action bets yesterday going 1-0 on my free twitter plays. All lines courtesy Pinnacle Sports My top rated play of the day is: LA Kings money line -118 (3*) - San Jose is struggling defensively and as a result their goaltender is getting the boot tonight.  The Sharks are starting their back-up goalie Alex Stalock on the road in LA.  The Kings finally got the goaltending they needed last game with a 3-0 win in the shark tank.  I see another one of those performances tonight from the Kings a low scoring affair with Quick being the difference maker. Kings 3-1 I'm also backing: St. Louis run line -1.5 +148 (3*) - Brewers P Yovani Gallardo is 0-8, 8.17 ERA in last 10 starts vs. the Cardinals plus the Brewers will be without Ryan Braun and Jean Segura tonight witch is a huge loss for the team.  Look for St. Louis to batt around Gallardo and cruise to an easy win. Atlanta/Pacers UNDER 186.5 -108 (2*) - The total has gone under 3 straight games in this series and I don't see it changing at all.  Both teams play defense first and like to run down the shot clock look for that trend to continue. Added Bonus for the Parlay lovers: Kings ml, St. Louis run line -1.5, Hawks/Pacers under 186.5, Pens/Columbus over 5.5 4 teamer - +1867

Monday April 28th Betting Action

Yesterday was not a good one by any means as I only won one of my 7 plays for the day and really cut into my profits. Poor play by the Rockets down the stretch to let Portland overtake them while eventually forcing Overtime killed my Play of the Day for it to be the first loser on that front. Bad days like that will happen in this business though and it's important to not let it rattle you going forward. Here are today's plays as I'm looking to get back into the win column tonight. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts "to win" on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold NHL YTD: 2-2 (+$228) MLB YTD: 2-5-1 (-$696) NBA YTD: 4-3 (+$286) MLB Plays: Pick #1 and #2: Chicago Cubs ML (+118) $200 to win $236 and Chicago/Cincinnati Over 7.5 (-103) $309 to win $300 - The Reds took two of three @ Wrigley about a week ago and return home for the first time tonight after a 10-game road trip that started against these Cubs. Cincinnati is 1-8 SU in their last nine Game 1's and 2-7 SU in their last nine at home against a righty, so look for Samardzija to get his revenge tonight. - Cincinnati is also 6-1-1 O/U after a road trip of 7+ days and with the Cubs being 6-0 O/U after a victory this year, look for more at least 8 runs to be scored tonight after these two starting pitchers met last week and only gave up 5. Pick #3: Oakland A's ML (+120) $300 to win $360 -After getting swept at home by Texas a week ago [...]
