It was a profitable night on Friday even though it was only a 2-2 night. My play of the day on the underdog Pirates came through as did the Giants against Wainwright. Miami and Seattle were losers for me and after a tough stretch of 10+ days I decided to get away from it all over the weekend and regroup today. It was great to see DRock carry the torch with a great weekend of plays for you guys and I'm looking to start this week off in similar fashion. KC might be one of the weaker hitting squads, but they get the Cardinals weakest starter (Miller) and a tired bullpen tonight and could make this one ugly early. What makes matters worse for St Louis is the fact that they are 3-7 SU in their last 10 games against a southpaw starter and that includes an 0-7 SU record when that lefty comes from an AL team. Tanaka is taking the mound for the Yankees, he is 3-0 with a 2.27 ERA in 5 starts so far.  Tanaka has struck out 10 or more batters three times already this season and has a total of 46 across 35 2/3 innings.  He has been amazing and with a late night for both teams I see batting being an issue today. Lost my play of the day by about a minute as the Thunder and Grizzlies just eclipsed the total in the final minute of action. I did go 2 for 3 with my MLB selections to help cut into that early deficit and it's on the diamond where all of my plays tonight are coming from. Chicago's pitching staff has an ERA of 4.81 on the year with tonight's starter Danks arguably being the best of the bunch, but this Indians team has tagged him before in his career and after a day off for travel yesterday the Indians will be happy to be back home. Cleveland went 0-6 SU on their west coast road trip as their own starting pitching had some issues allowing 5+ runs in five of the six games. Chicago has hovered around the .500 mark this year because they are knocking the cover off the ball right now and rookie Jose Abreu has been one of the best hitters in the league. With a light wind blowing out to right field, this one should see a few balls leave the yard as these two combine for 9 runs by the time the 7th inning rolls around.
