Friday June 13th Betting Action

It's been quite a run for my Top Plays as I hit another one last night to go to 9-0-1 on my last 10. Overall it was a 2-0 night for me on the diamond with Baltimore and Pittsburgh bringing home victories and I'm hopping to keep the good vibes going tonight. We've got Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final along with a full baseball board so let's dive right in. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts "to win" on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold NBA YTD: 12-13-1 (-$187) NHL YTD: 10-13-3 (-$217) MLB YTD: 60-62-8 (+$1475) MLB Plays LAA/Atlanta Over 7.5 (-101) $303 to win $300 When I began looking at the card this morning I perked up when I saw who was starting on the road tonight for the Angels. Yes, it's my favorite pitcher C.J Wilson making another start away from home where he's gone 28-4-3 O/U in his last 35 starts away from home. Wilson's Angels have won five of six overall and nearly everyone in their lineup has hit Harang hard throughout his career. Pujols alone has 27 hits in 79 at-bats, but guys like Freese, Hamilton and Trout all have .467 or better batting averages lifetime against Harang with at least nine at-bats for all of them. But this play is all about Wilson's O/U record on the road and until it starts to burn me regularly, I'll always be looking out for his road starts. Cincinnati ML (+106) $200 to win $212 This is a huge series for the Reds as they trail the Brewers by eight games in the NL Central standings and need to make up ground [...]

Thursday June 12 Betting Action

Overall it was a 1-2 night last night to make for a small losing day after yet another play of the day was the only winner. That makes it eight in a row on my top play so I hope everyone is getting involved on those bets. I won't be able to win them all, but it's a good feeling when you are winning your bigger bets more often than not. It's back to the diamond tonight with my plays as I hope to keep this good run going. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts "to win" on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold NBA YTD: 12-13-1 (-$187) NHL YTD: 10-13-3 (-$217) MLB YTD: 58-62-8 (+$875) MLB plays Pittsburgh ML (-118) $354 to win $300 The Pirates are looking to take three of four from the Cubs tonight but they'll be in tough against Cubs starter Jeff Samardzija. Samardzija has had some terrible luck for Chicago all year though as the Cubs are 3-10 SU in his starts despite having a 2.54 ERA. He's a hot commodity on the trade market and will probably be wearing different colors come August. But for now it's all about taking the better team at a short price tonight as Pittsburgh looks to end this seven-game homestand with a winning record. They are 10-4 SU in the last 14 games against the Cubs and are 8-3 SU in their last 11 as a favorite of -150 or less. They've done well against quality pitching of late too with a 6-0 SU mark the last six times they've faced a pitcher with a WHIP of 1.15 or lower and they've also got a 5-0 [...]

Wednesday Bet Card

The cold streak for me continues 1-2 last night and losing my TOP play.  I will get through this, every sports handicapper has a cold streak and I look towards tonight's games to get me back in the winners circle. 1* = $100  TOP FREE PLAY – 28-17-1 (62.2%) (+$4365) NBA YTD 20-21 (48.7%) (+$394) MLB YTD 40-39-1 (50.6%) (+$611) NHL YTD 17-12-1 (58.6%) (+$627) NFL YTD 1-0 (100%) (+$310) PARLAY’S YTD (1*) – 0-2 (0%) (-$200) YEAR-TO-DATE * - 2* 19-13 (59%) 3* 36-37 (49.3%) 4* 20-22-2 (47.6%) 5* 3-0 (100%) All lines courtesy Pinnacle Sports TOP play in bold LA KINGS ml +130 (4*) - Daryl Suter  has his teams mind set on winning here.  They don't want to give any hope for the Rangers tonight.  Rangers had their chance in game 3 and blew it, so it's going to be hard to come out tonight and play knowing only 1 team in NHL history has come back being down 3-0 and go on to win.  That was in 1942.  The Kings D is awesome, Quick is outstanding and on his game.  Kings have the scoring to do it tonight and with the Cup in the building it will be risen.  KINGS win the cup 3-1 Diamondbacks ml +114 (3*) - McCarthy has faced Houston twice in his career and is 2-0 with a .60 ERA and Keuchel is 0-2 against Arizona with a 7.20 ERA.  Taking Arizona with Houston's leadoff man out of the lineup tonight and Springer not 100%. A's/Angels OVER 8 -105 (3*) - Weaver back on June 1st struggled against the A's bats giving up 5 earned runs and 11 hits over 6 innings.  Looking for much of the [...]

Wednesday June 11th Betting Action

Tuesday was another profitable day as a 2-0 night (one postponed) helps me grow my MLB record back into the positives again and gives up some room to play with profits. The Cubs jumped all over Liriano as their good hitting numbers continued against left-handed pitching and the over 10 in Atlanta/Colorado wasn't even a sweat as it was 7-3 after the first inning. Easy winners like that always make you feel good but it's not always going to be that easy and you have to keep grinding away to make money in this industry. It's on to tonight's board with MLB and Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals on the card, with diamonds getting most of my attention. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts "to win" on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold NBA YTD: 12-13-1 (-$187) NHL YTD: 10-13-3 (-$217) MLB YTD: 57-60-8 (+$936) MLB Plays Boston/Baltimore Over 8.5 (-109) $218 to win $200 The Red Sox and Orioles have split the opening two games of this series with each win coming via the shutout. Both games have gone 'under' the total because of that and I believe that changes tonight in the series finale. Boston has seen Chen twice already this season and hit him hard both times. The Red Sox were only 1-1 SU in those games, but Chen never lasted longer than 5.2 innings in games that finished 4-3 Boston and 7-6 Baltimore. Chen has allowed 5 runs/ game over his last three outings, but has gotten six runs of support in those games from his teammates so it's not like he's hung out to dry out there. The O's are [...]

Tuesday Bet Card

0-3 yesterday and missed out on my TOP play.  I only can improve from that night so looking to rebound tonight.  With game 3 of the NBA finals going tonight I don't have a play on it for you and if I don't actually wager on it myself I don't put it up here.  It's easy to go on tilt after a zero win day but we can't stress more about money management here at drocksports.com.  Below as always is my updated record by sport, TOP play and star rating.  All our plays are documented in our free picks section and more recently on handicapperswatchdog.com. 1* = $100  TOP FREE PLAY – 28-16-1 (63.6%) (+$4785) NBA YTD 20-21 (48.7%) (+$394) MLB YTD 39-37-1 (53.4%) (+$1026) NHL YTD 17-12-1 (58.6%) (+$627) NFL YTD 1-0 (100%) (+$310) PARLAY’S YTD (1*) – 0-2 (0%) (-$200) YEAR-TO-DATE * - 2* 19-13 (59%) 3* 35-36 (49.2%) 4* 20-21-2 (48.7%) 5* 3-0 (100%) All lines courtesy Pinnacle Sports TOP play in bold Miami/Texas UNDER 9 +103 (4*) - Strict reverse line movement play here 93% on the over and 7% on the under and it has moved from 9.5 to 9.  The public sees 24 runs scored yesterday and all of a sudden they'll do that again, I think not.  The play is on the under here guys no questions asked. Brewers/Mets OVER 7.5 -105 (3*) - After a long losing road trip the Mets return home and look to bring out the bats.  Estrada has given up 16 runs in the past 4 games and is 0-1 with a high 6.35 ERA in 6 appearances (1 start) against the Mets.  Dice K goes for the Mets and didn't fare so [...]
