Wednesday June 25th Betting Action

A tough 1-3 day for me last night as I've become too reliant on blindly taking my strategy-based plays and not using them as strong guidelines when breaking down a game. I'm still up on the year though and that's all that matters, although I am anxious to get my percentage up around the 55% number by year's end. Again it's only MLB action for you tonight so let's get right to it. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts "to win" on favorites and flat on underdogs. Play of the Day in Bold MLB YTD: 75-79-9 (+$855) MLB Plays NYY/Toronto Under 9 (-108) $216 to win $200 Using my strategies as a guideline, we've seen the first two games of this series sail over the total and the Yankees are looking to get out of town and get some rest after tonight. Yankees starter Kuroda  is 10-26-2 O/U in his last 38 road starts and he's also 5-14-1 O/U after only four days off between starts. He's gone 4-21-1 in his lat 26 against a winning opponent and he's also 5-12-3 O/U in his last 20 against an AL East rival. For whatever reason he knows how to shut down the hitters he sees the most and tonight will be no different. On the other side, Hutchinson has shown a strong ability to bounce back after a rough outing and his last start was against these same Yankees. There is no doubt in my mind that he will have a better plan of attack tonight and being at home always helps. With a 3-8 O/U record after a full five days of rest and a 2-8 SU mark in his last 10 [...]

Tuesday Bet Card

1-3 night and lost my TOP play.  It's time to get back in the game and build some consecutive winning days in a row and let's start it tonight. 1* = $100  TOP FREE PLAY – 33-22-2 (60%) (+$4352) MLB YTD 57-59-3 (49.1%) (+$14) NFL YTD 1-0 (100%) (+$310) PARLAY’S YTD (1*) – 1-2 (33.3%) (+$120) YEAR-TO-DATE * - 2* 25-21 (54.3%) 3* 45-49-1 (47.8%) 4* 25-25-3 (50%) 5* 3-0 (100%) All lines courtesy Pinnacle Sports TOP play in bold Pirates ml +121 (3*) - This is crazy to me the Rays have been favored in 60 of 78 games this season and are -29.2 units for that.   Way too much respect for a team that just can't produce.   Pirates are starting to look like the team from 2013 and I will be taking them as a road dog here.  Rays have trouble hitting lefty pitchers.  Take the Pirates money line Reds ml -115 (3*) - The Reds have won Baileys last 10 starts against the Cubs, during that time Bailey is 7-0 with a 3.08 ERA.  Cincy has won 18 of its last 20 at Wrigley Field.  Enough Said take the Reds Phillys ml +108 (4*) - First road start for the rook definitely can not play on a rookies first start on the road.  Phillys have a very favorable home ump tonight and will not buy into this hype with the Marlins rookie.  Faded him large on his first start and were getting a home dog on his second start, SWEET.  Phillys ml all the way!

Tuesday June 24th Betting Action

It was a small winning night last night to start the week as my plays went 2-1 SU but it was my top play that was the loser. It's always nice to start the week on the plus side, but I've got to keep it rolling the rest of the way. On to tonight's plays: All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts "to win" on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold MLB YTD: 74-76-9 (+$1435) MLB Plays KC ML (+140) $200 to win $280 LAD/KC Over 7 (-110) $220 to win $200 Everyone knows that the reigning Cy Young winner Clayton Kershaw is one of the best pitchers in baseball right now and there's no denying that fact. He proved it last time out with a no-hitter against the Colorado Rockies, who at the time had the best team batting average in the NL. But if you've been following Drock Sports for some time now, you know when we see a no-no, it's time to get out the calendar and wait for that pitcher's next start. The fact that it's Kershaw only helps us get better value in fading him in this spot tonight and no surprise, he and the Dodgers are getting over 90% of the support right now. Yet, the Royals surged into 1st place in the AL Central because their offense started to connect and keep the line moving. They knocked around Zach Greinke last night in winning the opener of this series and with a 9-1 SU record when coming off a win, KC's in a good spot tonight. The Royals are also 5-1 SU in their last six at home against NL opponents [...]

Monday Bet Card

A 2-1-1 day yesterday with my TOP play pushing on 8, but overall it was a profitable day.  Also as a bonus I put out parlays every now and then and we cashed on one yesterday, which was nice.  Let's get to today's plays. 1* = $100  TOP FREE PLAY – 33-21-2 (61.1%) (+$4752) MLB YTD 56-56-3 (50%) (+$708) NFL YTD 1-0 (100%) (+$310) PARLAY’S YTD (1*) – 1-2 (33.3%) (+$120) YEAR-TO-DATE * - 2* 25-21 (54.3%) 3* 44-47-1 (48.3%) 4* 25-24-3 (51%) 5* 3-0 (100%) All lines courtesy Pinnacle Sports TOP play in bold Royals ml +102 (3*) - The stats are all against the Royals here I don't have to go there, but reverse movement tells me that the Royals are the play tonight with only 13% on them and sharp money coming in late. Phillies ml -112 (3*) - Marlins have lost their last 4 of 5 games.  Eovaldi is 2-4 with a 4.00 ERA in 8 starts versus the Phillies and hasn't won since May 26. Philly leads the season series 4-2. Cubs/Reds OVER 8.5 -105 (4*) - HUGE reverse line movement here 95% on the under and has moved from 7 to 8.5 so there's steam coming hard in the OVER here and that's the TOP play of the day. Jays/Yankees UNDER 8.5 +103 (3*) - yes once again the trend today is reverse line movement.

Monday June 23rd Betting Action

After an 0-3 Saturday, I took Sunday off to relax with friends and family and soak up some sun. The 0-3 day put a damper on what was a good week up until that point and I'm looking to start off this week in the winner's circle as well. With baseball being the only sport in town for the next month or two (if you want to count NFL preseason), it's important to step back from time to time because betting baseball can really be a grind. A fresh perspective after a tough day, or even a great day for that matter can be the difference in your bottom line. Anyways, on to today's picks: All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts "to win" on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold MLB YTD: 72-75-9 (+$1317) MLB Plays Washington ML (+109) $200 to win $218 The Brewers are returning home after a successful road trip out west. Milwaukee has maintained their lead in the NL Central and are looking to beat another division leader tonight. But the Nationals will be up to the task and I believe they come away with a win tonight. Gio Gonzalez makes his 2nd start tonight since returning from the DL and Washington is hoping he starts to round into form tonight. The Nats are 8-3 SU after their last 11 wins overall and have a 18-4 SU run going when Gonzalez starts the opener of a series. Washington is also 15-3 SU with him on the hill against an NL Central opponent and with a 4-1 SU record in their last five games here in Milwaukee, they'll come away with the win tonight. [...]
