Tuesday Bet Card

Not a great night for me 1-2 and not profitable, but we move on to tonight and ready to build my bankroll back one play at a time.  TOP play is the go-to play for me and @ATSskinner and should be on everyone's card.  Let's get to tonight's card.  As always my updated record by sport, TOP play and star rating. 1* = $100  TOP FREE PLAY – 38-25-2 (60.3%) (+$4828) MLB YTD 74-76-4 (49.3%) (+$158) NFL YTD 1-0 (100%) (+$310) PARLAY’S YTD (1*) – 1-2 (33.3%) (+$120) YEAR-TO-DATE * - 2* 25-21-1 (54.3%) 3* 53-58-1 (47.7%) 4* 34-32-3 (51.5%) 5* 3-1 (75%) All lines courtesy Pinnacle Sports TOP play in bold White Sox ml +154 (4*) - Sox are 1-6 on a 10 game home stand and have been shut out 3 times in its last 10. Can not back the Red Sox here White Sox get it done. Jays/Angels OVER 8 -110 (4*) - Skaggs is on the hill at home tonight which means it's an OVER play for me.  He owns a 5.80 ERA at home this season and the Jays bats need to keep pace in the East. Cubs/Reds OVER 8 -104 (4*) - This is the flip flop double header theory

Tuesday July 8th Betting Action

This week started off much better than last week ended as my plays went 2-1 last night for a +339 day. The only loss was with the Pirates who had numerous innings with runners on 1st and 3rd with one out or less and they just couldn't manage to plate anyone. That was all the opening the Cardinals would need as they walked off with a two-run HR in the 9th. No need to rehash what could have been though as the Mets came through for me in extra innings to cash my top play. It's on to today's card and it's a big one: All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts "to win" on favorites and flat on underdogs. Play of the Day in Bold MLB YTD: 89-95-11 (+$209) MLB plays Cleveland ML (+136) $200 to win $272 Cleveland's in tough against Tanaka and the Yankees tonight, but I'm not one who's hesitant to fade 'aces' when the price is right and tonight the price is right on the Indians. The perception about Tanaka is that he's unbeatable and that's why we see about 90% of the bettors already backing him and the Yanks tonight. But New York is actually 1-2 SU in his last three starts overall as he's come back down to earth a bit with a 3.52 ERA in those starts, seeing 4.7 runs/game being scored against  him. Cleveland is 5-1 SU in their last six as a home underdog and I like Bauer's chances to match Tanaka pitch for pitch. Give me the +136 odds on Cleveland. Texas ML (-145) $290 to win $200 The Rangers were blasted by the Astros last night, but they should be the [...]

Monday Bet Card

2-3 day yesterday and was hoping for a Red Sox win in the extra innings for a winning day, but just didn't happen.  Cashed my TOP play making it 4 straight now.  Let's get right to the games for Monday. 1* = $100  TOP FREE PLAY – 38-24-2 (61.2%) (+$5228) MLB YTD 73-74-4 (49.6%) (+$658) NFL YTD 1-0 (100%) (+$310) PARLAY’S YTD (1*) – 1-2 (33.3%) (+$120) YEAR-TO-DATE * - 2* 25-21-1 (54.3%) 3* 53-58-1 (47.7%) 4* 33-30-3 (52.3%) 5* 3-1 (75%) All lines courtesy Pinnacle Sports TOP play in bold Marlins/Diamondbacks UNDER 9 -116 (4*) -  Marlins have the second highest K % vs. RHP this season.  Koehler pitched a decent game last striking out 7, walked one and threw six scoreless innings. Phillies/Brewers OVER 8 -110 (4*) - Homer prone Estrada is on the mound tonight and the Brewers bats need to wake up.  Take the OVER here Phillies/Brewers OVER 4 First 5 -125 (4*)

Monday July 7th Betting Action

Not much to say after a brutal 0-3 day on Sunday, just have to put my head down and get back to the grind. Treading lightly in terms of dollar amounts tonight to try and get back in the winners circle. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts "to win" on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold MLB YTD: 87-94-11 (-$130) MLB Plays NY Mets ML (+113) $300 to win $339 Revenge time for New York after they were swept in Atlanta last week. Minor and Matzuzaka faced off in Game 2 of that series and while neither starter went more than five innings, it was the Braves who did enough damage early on to win 5-4. Not a single run was scored after the top of the 5th in that game so the bullpens did a great job, but this time aorund it's going to be New York who comes out on top. The Braves just had a long nine-game winning streak snapped yesterday against the Diamondbacks and I love to fade a team in a spot like this after a long winning streak has been snapped. NY Yankees/Cleveland  Under 9 (-107) $214 to win $200 Not a lot of love coming for spot starter Shane Greene tonight as he struggled in his lone relief appearance this year for New York. But he's got the advantage of no Indians player having faced him before and that should be good enough to get through Cleveland's order the first few times. Justin Masterson hasn't been up to par for Cleveland, but this is a guy who was a former ace for this team and can mow down any lineup on [...]

Sunday July 6th Betting Action

Thanks to the Astros imploding in the 7th inning, my 2-1 day turned into a 1-2 day in a hurry. If the Astros had come through it would have been a nice payday with the big dog, and even if Melky Cabrera is called safe at home in the 8th during the review I'd have had a better chance of cashing that total as well. Now that I've got that little rant out of the way, it's time to turn to today's action and there are a few later plays on the card that I like. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts "to win" on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold MLB YTD: 87-91-11 (+$697) Colorado ML (+113) $200 to win $ $226 The Rockies got over the hump against the Dodgers yesterday as it was their first win in seven straight games against L.A. Colorado's bats finally woke up by putting eight runs on the board and offensively the Rockies are a streaky team. They get to face one of the weaker pitchers in the Dodgers rotation today in Josh Beckett and he;s a guy they've avoided for most of the series' with L.A. The lone time they did face Beckett the Dodgers righty got a no-decision in a 5-4 Rockies win and L.A actually has a 2-9 SU record in Beckett's last 11 starts against division opponents. I'm riding that run today as Colorado finds a way to finish this four-game set with a split. Toronto/Oakland Over 7.5 (-107) $321 to win $300 Tampa/Detroit Under 7.5 (-102) $306 to win $300 Both of these games fit into our methods here at DRock sports about chasing [...]
