Tuesday August 19th Betting Action

Lost one unit on my 1-1 split with my two free plays as the top play on the over in LAA/Boston couldn't get there. The Red Sox were 1-for-14 with men in scoring position last night and that futile hitting killed any chance of seeing that game reach double digit runs. Washington held true to form during their recent winning streak by never leading their game by more than one run with Arizona yesterday and that +1.5 run line on the heavy dog managed to cash. We've got a full baseball board to pick from today so let's get right to the plays. Make sure you check our free trial on our premium picks as we were 2-1 with them last night too. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts 'to win' on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold MLB pre-All Star break: 101-107-13 (+$691) MLB post-All Star break: 22-25 (+$220) CFL YTD: 6-6 (+$234) NFL-X YTD: 1-2 (-$216) MLB Plays Texas ML (+141) $300 to win $423 The Texas Rangers got a much needed morale boost with their come from behind walk-off victory over the 1st place Angels on Sunday. The Rangers players know that this season is a lost cause and are just playing out the string, but many of them are playing for roster spots next year and they are still professionals who want to go out and win every night. That comeback win was what this team needed for a shot in the arm though and I expect them to carry that momentum into tonight's game as they pull out another victory. Miami starter Jared Cosart is coming off one of his best outings [...]

Monday August 18th Betting Action

After another weekend with my head buried in football research as we continue to work on quality NFL and NCAA football content for you all, I'm back with a few free plays tonight in MLB. We are very excited for what we have in store for you guys this upcoming football season and with the start of the college season two weeks away we are running out of time to hunker down and provide the in-depth knowledge you need to have a tremendous betting season. It's back to the bases tonight for me though after a 1-2 overall Friday night cost us a bit of dough. Another light card leaves us with limited options, but there are two solid plays I believe you should definitely have on your card tonight. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts "to win" on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold MLB Pre-All Star Break: 101-107-13 (+$691) MLB Post-All Star Break: 21-24 (+$320) CFL YTD: 6-6 (+$234) NFL-X YTD: 1-2 (-$126) MLB Plays LAA/Boston Over 9.5 (+100) $300 to win $300 It's been awhile since we've had a solid spot to back 'overs' with my early season favorite CJ Wilson on the hill away from home. He's only 2-2 O/U in his last four road starts but each of those two 'unders' cashed by the hook (0.5). Those two unders also came in the first two of those four contests with his last two starts away from home resulting in 5 runs and 10 runs against. Wilson never pitched more than 3.2 innings in those two starts, so it's unlikely we see him go that deep in tonight's game. When we take it [...]

Friday August 15th Betting Action

A solid 1-1 night with my free selections last night as my Astros couldn't avoid that big inning against them in blowing their 4-1 lead and the Jaguars held the lead until late in the 4th quarter but still managed to cover the spread. Action is heating up this weekend with Week 2 of the NFL preseason getting going, a full slate of MLB games and even a little CFL action tonight. Let's get right to the free plays. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts 'to win' on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold MLB Pre-All Star Break: 101-107-13 (+$691) MLB Post-All Star Break: 21-23 (+$620) CFL YTD: 5-6 (+$34) NFL-X YTD: 1-1 (+$90) MLB Plays NYY/Tampa Over 7 (+112) $300 to win $336 Yankees owner Hal Steinbrenner called out his team on Wednesday for not producing with the bats and scoring runs. New York is falling fast in both the wildcard and AL East races and with all the high priced talent they've got in their lineup it's only a matter of time before they start to get it going. New York is 3-0-1 O/U in their last four road games and are also 3-0-1 O/U in their last four against a division opponent. The day off on Thursday was very much needed for this team as they will begin their final push towards the playoffs tonight. Tampa finished a 10-game road trip yesterday with a win in Texas as they took three of four from the Rangers. In those three wins the Rays scored 6, 7 and 10 runs as the entire lineup is seeing the ball well at the moment and cashing in on [...]

Thursday August 14th Betting Action

I got back some of my losses yesterday with a 2-0 sweep thanks to the Tigers bringing out their offense again and the Cubs holding on for a 4-2 win. It's a small board tonight with minimal MLB action, but there is also an NFL preseason game going on tonight. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts 'to win' on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold MLB Pre-All Star Break: 101-107-13 (+$691) MLB Post-All Star Break: 21-22 (+$820) CFL YTD: 5-6 (+$34) NFL-X YTD: 0-1 (-$210) MLB plays Houston ML (+146) $200 to win $292 Not a lot of faith in my Astros tonight as bettors are flocking to the Red Sox and their big names. Boston already beat up on Scott Feldman in Houston about a month ago, but the Astros righty has been much better since that defeat going 2-1 SU in his last three outings. Those wins have come thanks to some tremendous run support from his offense (6/game), and with a 4-1 SU run going the last five times Feldman has taken the hill on only four days rest there is some value in Houston tonight. I've consistently said that the Astros are a great team to back as underdogs when no one wants them and a great team to avoid at any price when they are getting the majority of the love. Tonight falls into the former and I'll be backing Bo Porter's squad tonight. NFL Plays Jacksonville +3 (-110) $330 to win $300 Lots of love for the Bears in tonight's preseason tilt as bettors are already lining up to fade Jacksonville this year any opportunity they get. However, the line has [...]

Wednesday FREE PLAY Bet Card

With my largest FREE card in over a month I went 3-3 and lost $54, not great at all, but hit my TOP FREE play of the day.  So far the TOP FREE play is my go-to play hitting right now 56.3%.  I will be trimming down my FREE card tonight so lets get right to it.  As always is my updated record by sport, TOP FREE play and star rating. 1* = $100  TOP FREE PLAY – 49-38-2 (56.3%) (+$4166) PRE-ALLSTAR BREAK MLB YTD 84-87-4 (49.1%) (+$374) POST-ALLSTAR BREAK MLB YTD 20-18-1  (52.6%) (+$432) NFL YTD 1-1 (50%) (+$10) PARLAY’S YTD (1*) – 1-3 (25%) (+$20) YEAR-TO-DATE * - 2* 31-26-1 (54.3%) 3* 67-75-2 (47.1%) 4* 42-39-3 (51.8%) 5* 3-1 (75%) All lines courtesy Pinnacle Sports All lines are "to risk" TOP FREE play in bold Marlins ml -113 (2*) - Eovaldi finally won for the first time in 8 trys last time out and is looking to build some momentum off that win.  Marlins have won 4 of last 5 games and the Cards have lost 5 of their last 6 in Miami.  Look for Miami to sweep the Cardinals for the first time since '95. Nationals ml -113 (3*) - Colon picked up his 200th win out last time and this is the perfect fade time for him here.  Nationals have also won eight of 10 against the Mets this season and 13 of the past 15 meetings overall. Orioles ml -113 (3*) - Can't see Pineda pitching long into the night tonight since it's his first game back against the Orioles, which means the Yankees bullpen needs to be sharp.  With the hot hitting bats of the Orioles it could spell [...]
