Saturday September 6th Early Betting Action

I might have to start upgrading my free picks to premiums and downgrading a few premiums the way this is going. It was a 2-2 night on the premo card, but it was another sweep on the free play board with the Giants lighting up Porcello early and often and Boston coming back in dramatic fashion against the fading Blue Jays. It's all college football today though as I've got a couple of great early plays for you all with my free card. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts 'to win' on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold Free Play Records MLB Pre All Star Break: 101-107-13 (+$691) MLB Post All Star Break: 37-34 (+$2245) CFL YTD: 6-8 (-$266) NCAAF YTD: 3-1 (+$484) NCAAF Plays Middle Tennessee State +16 (-104) $312 to win $300 Can't ignore the line movement on this one as Blue Raiders come in as heavy underdogs against a Big 10 team that's consistently overrated year after year. Minnesota stated the season with a 42-20 win over a bad Eastern Illinois team that threw for 409 yards against the Gophers defense. EIU had more first downs than Minnesota (27-18) and if it wasn't for some poor play by QB Jalen Whitlow early and losing the turnover battle (3-1) this game would have been much closer. However the fact that the Panthers were able to move up and down the field like they did in that second half bodes well for this Middle Tennessee team to score points. The Blue Raiders impressed me with a 6-17 win against Savannah State and although they were massive favorites (-41), the offense looked in sync and they had [...]

Friday September 5th Betting Action

It was a tough 1-2 day with my premium plays (Green Bay/Seattle Under 47, Stl/Pitt Over 8.5, Texas San Antonio +7.5) but for those of you that jumped on board my free plays managed to negate those losses with a 2-1 day and another TOP play winner. If it wasn't for a blown save by Boston's closer it would have been another free play sweep and that's what I'm aiming for tonight. It's going to be a very busy weekend with Week 2 of CFB and a full slate of NFL games on Sunday, so let's try and enter the weekend with a few more dollars in our bankrolls with tonight's free plays. I've got three CFB plays loaded up for premium clients tonight so make sure you sign up and get on board with those. So let's attack the MLB card with these free plays. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts 'to win' on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold Free Play Records MLB Pre All Star Break: 101-107-13 (+$691) MLB Post All Star Break: 35-34 (+$1741) CFL YTD: 6-8 (-$266) NCAAF YTD: 3-1 (+$484) MLB plays San Francisco/Detroit Over 8.5 (-115) $345 to win $300 Jake Peavy may be in a different league now, but he can't be happy to see the Detroit Tigers again. In two starts against Detroit (last year's ALCS and this season) with Boston, Peavy has an 0-2 SU record and has allowed 16 hits and 12 earned runs in only nine innings of work. Detroit put up 13 runs in those two victories as this lineup of great hitters clearly has a beat on Peavy. The Tigers are coming off [...]

Thursday September 4th Betting Action

The NFL is finally back and sportsbooks everywhere are being flooded with action now that all the recreational bettors have reloaded their bankrolls and ready for football. While football betting is great, remember a winning/losing bet on any sport still pays the same so don't be scared to continue plugging away on other sports like MLB because you can find some value in the lines in sports that many are ignoring right now. Your money doesn't know or care if it's being bet on in football or elsewhere, so stay true to the course and try and grind away profits. That being said, I've got two premium plays uploaded for subscribers on tonight's football action (CFB and NFL) so make sure you check those plays out. As far as free plays go, I've got three plays lined up for you all with baseball taking center stage. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts 'to win' on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold Free Play Records MLB Pre All Star Break: 101-107-13 (+$691) MLB post All Star Break: 34-33 (+$1651) CFL YTD: 6-8 (-$266) NCAAF YTD: 2-1 (+$284) MLB plays Boston/NYY Under 8.5 (-105) $210 to win $200 I almost feel as though I can post the same write up from yesterday's card for this play as once again bettors are flocking to the high side of this total between the Sox and Yanks. But we've already seen the opening number of 9 - key number in baseball totals by the way - be dropped to this 8.5 spot despite over 80% of the action coming in on the over. That's a move I simply can't ignore as the Red [...]

New Changes to the Premium Picks

When you come to D Rock Sports today you'll notice a few changes. We will still have daily free picks for everyone to check out and wager on but after receiving plenty of great feedback from all of our readers/subscribers (thank you all for your support), we've decided to make a couple changes regarding our premium picks. First off, we decided to switch over to separate packages for D Rock and myself for a few reasons. We know that some of you prefer D Rock's write ups, handicapping style and picks, while others prefer mine. Grouping them all together in one premium package like we had before created a lot of confusion as to which one of us was making what plays on a given day and that created frustration on your part. Splitting up the packages allows you to play only the plays from the one of us you prefer (or both if you would like) and that should make things easier for everyone going forward. All of the packages (monthly and yearly) that were previously purchased will still be honored and all the plays from both of us will be plugged in at Handicappers Watchdog per usual for you to monitor here. Although this appears to be a way for us to generate more revenue from our premium plays, D Rock and I felt it was a necessary change to be made for our clients to eliminate confusion and ensure that everyone knows which one of us is making the picks. Our goal remains the same as yours: to beat the books together - and we've learned that our different styles of handicapping are not for everyone so that's why we've gone on are own [...]

Wednesday September 3rd Betting Action

After a brutal Monday with my free selections and our premiums, I bounced back well yesterday sweeping the board. Houston jumped all over C.J Wilson early and a late grand slam by Jay Bruce pushed that Reds/Orioles total over the number. Many afternoon games have already gone off or will be in the next hour, so I'm focusing on the night card with my plays. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts 'to win' on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold Free Play Records MLB Pre All Star Break: 101-107-13 (+$691) MLB Post All Star Break: 32-33 (+$1052) CFL YTD: 6-8 (-$266) NCAAF YTD: 2-1 (+$284) MLB plays Boston/NYY Under 8.5 (+106) $200 to win $212 Last night we saw an old fashioned slugfest between these two teams and bettors are expecting more of the same tonight. Nearly 90% of the action is on the high side of this total right now and I would not be surprised to see it get bumped to 9 (if that's the case wait on it). However, the Red Sox are still 5-13 O/U in their last 18 on the road and I don't think they get to Kuroda tonight like they did against Greene yesterday. New York is on a 3-13-2 O/U run after allowing 5+ the game before and are on a 7-18-2 O/U run at home right now. They are also 2-12 O/U the last 14 times Kuroda's been a home favorite in the -150 to -200 range and 5-22-1 O/U with him on the mound and the Yanks coming off a loss. I have no problem fading the majority here as we should see a 4-3 type game. [...]
