NFL Week 3 Free Picks

It's only Friday, but with a lot of NFL lines likely to be shifting around in the next 48 hours, I thought it was best to give you guys these plays now before the numbers start to move. I've just sent out a 6-pack of NFL premium plays to my clients, so it's not too late to get your name added to the mailing list to get on those plays. I was 5-1 ATS in the NFL last week with my premium plays and look to keep it going again this week. There are a couple of plays that didn't quite make the cut in terms of being premiums, but they are still very strong in my opinion. They are so strong in fact that I'm putting three units on each and giving them to you now so you can get the best of the line. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports (unless stated otherwise) with bet amounts 'to win' on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold Free Play Records MLB Pre All Star Break: 101-107-13 (+$691) MLB post All Star Break: 43-42 (+$2059) CFL YTD: 6-8 (-$266) NCAAF YTD: 8-5 ATS (+$529) pending NFL YTD: 3-4 ATS (-$333) NFL Free Plays Cleveland +1.5 (-104) $312 to win $300 The Browns may be coming off a huge underdog win over the Saints last week and will have many people looking to fade them after a win like that, but for a team that's been so bad for so long, there really isn't any such thing as a letdown spot. The fact that Cleveland hung tough with the Saints all afternoon, blew a lead late and didn't fold during their comeback attempt will give [...]

Friday September 19th Betting Action

A tough split with my free plays yesterday as I got burned again by that 'over' in the Indians/Astros game. All seven meetings between those two teams went under the total this year and that's quite a rarity. It's on to tonight's free plays though as I try to head into the weekend on a good note. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts 'to win' on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold Free Play Records MLB Pre All Star Break: 101-107-13 (+$691) MLB post All Star Break: 43-42 (+$2059) CFL YTD: 6-8 (-$266) NCAAF YTD: 8-5 ATS (+$529) NFL YTD: 3-4 ATS (-$333) NCAAF Plays UConn/South Florida Over 43.5 (+100) $300 to win $300 With both of these teams losing by double digits last week it's tough to pick a winner here, although it is a good revenge spot for Connecticut. The Huskies lost 13-10 at home to South Florida last year pushing the underdog's record to 4-0-1 ATS the last five times these two have met. If this line gets up to +3 for UConn I can tell you right now I'll be on them plus the points as I believe they've got a great shot at winning this game outright. I say that because although the Huskies lost by 38-21 to Boise State last week, the final margin was only that big because of UConn's turnover problems. They nearly matched Boise State yard for yard that day (292 to 290) and as long as they take care of the ball tonight they should have no problem moving it and scoring on this South Florida defense. The Bulls gave up 49 points in the first three quarters last [...]

Thursday September 18th Betting Action

It was a tough 0-2 night on the diamond for me on Wednesday as both of my total selections were off. I had a feeling it would be a rougher day when there was nothing on the board that jumped out at me for a premium selection, but that's just the way it goes sometimes. We've got football action back already and I know D Rock has released two premium plays on tonight's NFL game to his subscribers, so if you are looking for action on that game, go over there and sign up to get his top selections. I've got a premium play that I released last night for tonight's college football game, so it's back to the diamond with my free plays today as I try and get back those losses from yesterday. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts 'to win' on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold Free Play Records MLB Pre All Star Break: 101-107-13 (+$691) MLB post All Star Break: 42-41 (+$2183) CFL YTD: 6-8 (-$266) NCAAF YTD: 8-5 ATS (+$529) NFL YTD: 3-4 ATS (-$333) MLB Plays New York Yankees (-116) $232 to win $200 After getting swept by Baltimore, I think the players on the Jays are finally seeing the writing on the wall. I've said that despite efforts by media and fans to state that the Jays were going to be in it, they've never really had a chance and now it's almost official. Toronto has been brutal in series openers (5-16 SU) and nearly just as bad on the road against good teams the past two months, so I'm going back to fading them with this play tonight. New York [...]

Wednesday September 17th Betting Action

It was a solid 2-0 day for me on the diamond with my free picks on Tuesday with the Cubs winning in a route and the Dodgers and Rockies combining for another high-scoring affair. Last night we also saw both East divisions get clinched as the Orioles and Nationals punched their ticket to the playoffs. Fading a team (in any sport) after they clinched a division is a tried and true betting strategy I've used for years but the lines on Toronto and Atlanta have gotten away from us a bit. I still like both of those teams in that spot tonight if you are looking to add some plays to your card, but I'm going elsewhere on tonight's MLB board with my official free picks. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts 'to win' on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold Free Play Records MLB Pre All Star Break: 101-107-13 (+$691) MLB post All Star Break: 42-39 (+$2683) CFL YTD: 6-8 (-$266) NCAAF YTD: 8-5 ATS (+$529) NFL YTD: 3-4 ATS (-$333) MLB free plays Miami/NYM Under 6.5 (+108) $200 to win $216 Cleveland/Houston Over 8 (+115) $300 to win $316 I've grouped these plays together as both fit the system of playing Game 3's/series finales on the other side of the total if the first two games in the series had the same result. Miami and the Mets have gone 'over' in both of their games so far as the Marlins get ready to head home, while Cleveland and Houston have played two low-scoring games but have a Game 4 on tap tomorrow. I'm always a little hesitant to apply this system to a Game 3 when there [...]

Tuesday September 16th Betting Action

After a great weekend in football, it was tough to start out this week with an 0-fer as the Eagles and Colts provided the high-scoring shootout everyone was looking for and I should have just stuck to my guns about fading the Jays the rest of the way. Every Toronto loss pushes the Jays further on the brink of elimination and it's only a matter of time before that becomes official. There's only MLB action tonight and that's where my free plays are coming from tonight. Don't forget to check out the premium picks page  as I've already sent out three premium MLB plays out to subscribers for tonight. On to the free plays. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts 'to win' on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold Free Play Records MLB Pre All Star Break: 101-107-13 (+$691) MLB post All Star Break: 40-39 (+$2183) CFL YTD: 6-8 (-$266) NCAAF YTD: 8-5 ATS (+$529) NFL YTD: 3-4 ATS (-$333) MLB plays Chicago Cubs ML (-106) $212 to win $200 Tough to ignore the line movement in this one as the Cubs have flipped over to being the favorite against Johnny Cueto and the Reds. Cueto is clearly the #1 guy in Cincinnati and while this line move could be an attempt by bigger betters to scalp both sides at an underdog price (play Cubs earlier, Reds later), I have no problem backing the home team here. For one, Chicago is hitting the ball quite well right now and did beat Cueto and the Reds 3-0 at the end of August. That was the last time Cueto lost as he's won three straight starts since then and gone deep in [...]
