Saturday September 27 Betting Action

Tough 1-2 night with my premiums, but our double header flip flopped theory worked out well as the Marlins won a shootout; cashing both of my free plays. I've already sent out a full premium card to clients for today's college football betting action, but I do still have two plays that just missed becoming premiums. So let's get right to today's college football free picks. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts 'to win' on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold Free Play Records MLB Pre All Star Break: 101-107-13 (+$691) MLB post All Star Break: 47-43 (+$2817) CFL YTD: 6-8 (-$266) NCAAF YTD: 8-7 ATS (+$17)  NFL YTD: 4-7 ATS (-$872) College Football Free Betting Picks Kansas +12 (-109) $218 to win $200 Syracuse +9 (-106) $212 to win $200 I'm grouping these two plays together as they've got a few things in common. For one, they are both home dogs that have seen the line move in their favor despite the majority of action going against them (reverse line movement), and both are up against big name, high profile schools that many recreational bettors have no problem backing week in and week out. Secondly, both teams could easily be looking past their games this week as the Irish have a big home game with Stanford on deck, while Texas will be looking to knock off one of the top Big 12 teams in Baylor. When you see big time, talented programs right in front of you like that, it's tough to give your full attention to the Kansas' and Syracuse's of the world and I believe that's part of teh reason why we've seen these lines move [...]

Friday September 26th Betting Action

Yesterday was a day of mixed emotions as my premium plays went a perfect 4-0 (NYG, Texas Tech, UCLA and Over) but I couldn't get it done with my free plays (0-2) for all the readers out there. I've got three premium plays ready for tonight and sent out to members, but it's not too late to sign up and jump on board. As far as free plays go tonight, there isn't much out there that I'm really seeing in terms of great value, so instead, I'm going to stick with the tried and true system of flipping flopping the results in the 2nd game of a double header. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts 'to win' on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold Free Play Records MLB Pre All Star Break: 101-107-13 (+$691) MLB post All Star Break: 45-43 (+$2359) CFL YTD: 6-8 (-$266) NCAAF YTD: 8-7 ATS (+$17)  NFL YTD: 4-7 ATS (-$872) MLB Free Plays Miami ML (+129) $200 to win $258 Miami/Washington Over 7.5 (+100) $200 to win $200 Not going to grade either of these plays as a top one for the day, but I do think we see some runs scored in the 2nd part of this double header. Washington won this afternoon's game by a 4-0 score and with two young pitchers on the hill in Andrew Heaney and Taylor Hill, there will be some runs scored. Hill has yet to get a start this year since being called up, but he has given up 6 hits in 4.1 innings of work and has a WHIP of 1.62. Those aren't impressive numbers by any means and with some young guys scattered throughout [...]

NFL Free Picks: Week 4

Week 4 is the first time we've seen bye weeks in action this year and I'll let you know about some great bye week trends/systems in the coming weeks about teams coming off a bye. For now though Week 4 does have some intriguing games in terms of the spreads and totals. With three weeks already in the books  many people are already coming to some snap conclusions on who is good/bad this year and we are seeing some inflated numbers pop up as the general perception would suggest that there are going to be a few easy winners this week. Yet, I see these inflated numbers and they've grabbed my attention for other reasons because I don't think you can come to strong conclusions three weeks into the season about how a team will finish the final three months of the year. It's a long NFL season and there are always plenty of surprises, so this is the best time of year to use those over adjustments and inflated numbers to your advantage. So this week's NFL free picks are two ugly dogs that nobody wants a part of, but QB changes for both teams should be the spark they need to get back on track ATS-wise. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts 'to win' on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold Free Play Records MLB Pre All Star Break: 101-107-13 (+$691) MLB post All Star Break: 45-43 (+$2359) CFL YTD: 6-8 (-$266) NCAAF YTD: 8-6 ATS (+$229)  NFL YTD: 4-6 ATS (-$557) pending Free NFL picks Tampa Bay +7.5 (-108) $324 to win $300 Tampa Bay was blown to shreds by the Falcons on the Thursday Night prime [...]

Thursday September 25th Betting Action

Couldn't manage to cash with yesterday's free play on the 'over' in the Astros/Rangers game as this week as been a grind, but there are four football games on tap tonight and that's where my focus has shifted too. So without further ado, lets get to tonight's NFL free picks and college football free pick. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts 'to win' on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold Free Play Records MLB Pre All Star Break: 101-107-13 (+$691) MLB post All Star Break: 45-43 (+$2359) CFL YTD: 6-8 (-$266) NCAAF YTD: 8-6 ATS (+$229)  NFL YTD: 4-6 ATS (-$557) NFL free pick NYG/Washington Under 45 (-105) $315 to win $300 After losing the 'under' on the last NFL prime time game (Bears/Jets), I'm going back to the well with that train of thought tonight to take another low-side of a total. So far this total has been moving back and forth throughout the week as 75%+ of bets have come in on the high side. That's not too surprising given that the Giants and Redskins put up 30+ points last week and casual bettors generally subscribe to the "what have you done for me lately" idea.  However, this total has been on it's way down all morning and that move has confirmed by week-long suspicion that it would. It's a short week for both teams which is typically good news for 'under' bettors, and the Giants are 1-5 O/U the last six times they've been on TNF. New York is also 3-12 O/U after covering the spread in their last game and has a 5-14 O/U run going in their last 19 on the road. Five of [...]

Wednesday September 24th Betting Action

I managed to get an easy win with my lone free play last night as Felix Hernandez's career struggles against the Jays continued and one crooked number was all we needed to push that total well over the 7 number. My two premium plays were looking good for a sweep as well at about 11:00 EST when it was 3-2 early on in the Giants/Dodgers game, but they combined for only one more run the rest of the way and it cost me a perfect night. It's back to the diamond for today's selections, so let's get right to them. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts 'to win' on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold Free Play Records MLB Pre All Star Break: 101-107-13 (+$691) MLB post All Star Break: 45-42 (+$2659) CFL YTD: 6-8 (-$266) NCAAF YTD: 8-6 ATS (+$229)  NFL YTD: 4-6 ATS (-$557) Free MLB picks Houston/Texas Over 8.5 (+104) $300 to win $300 It's the last meeting between these two before a very long offseason for both franchises and after two straight 'unders' to start this series, I believe both offenses go out with a bang. First off, we've got a young pitcher in Lisalverto Bonilla making his third start for the Rangers this season and he's been a huge benefactor of run support so far. Texas has scored an average of 7.5/game with Bonilla on the hill and although that number is a bit skewed after the 12 they put up on LAA in his last start, I don't think anything he throws will fool this Astros lineup. Secondly, the Rangers have been playing some great baseball of late and they are 6-1 O/U the [...]
