Got back into the winner’s circle with last night’s 2-1 day on the diamond. My play of the day on the over in LAA/Houston with C.J Wilson on the road cashed and his starts away from home are going to be something you should keep on eye on the rest of the year. No time to dwell on yesterday’s results though so let’s get right back at it with tonight’s plays.

NYR/LA Under 5 (-117) $351 to win $300

Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals tonight and with nerves a plenty on both sides and two of the best goalies in the world in between the pipes, I don’t believe we will see one of those track-meet games we saw plenty of last round. Four of the last six Game 1’s in the Stanley Cup Final have stayed under the total of 5 and those two ‘overs’ came in the years when Chicago was involved.

This series will be one where the defensive aficionados stand up and watch with excitement after a very high-scoring post-season so far and it starts tonight with Game 1.

MLB Plays

Boston ML (+126) $200 to win $252

Boston is looking to avoid getting swept tonight and I believe they make good on that goal. Cleveland’s Corey Kluber has been spectacular for the Indians this year – especially at home – but this is a young pitcher that is long overdue for a regression to the mean. Boston’s bats started to wake up in the late innings yesterday and just couldn’t get that key hit with men on base but tonight that changes.

St Louis/KC Over 7 (-113) $226 to win $200

This battle of Missouri has plenty of history since interleague play began and both sides have great offensive numbers against tonight’s starting pitchers. St Louis is 4-0 O/U in their last four on the road against a southpaw and are 9-3 O/U in their last 12 interleague games as a favorite of -150 or less.

On the other side, KC is 5-1 O/U in their last six at home against a righty and 4-1 O/U in their last five as a home underdog. St Louis’s starter Adam Wainwright will always garner some respect as he’s a top tier talent, but his last four starts here in KC have gone 3-0-1 O/U and tonight will be no different.
