I’m back with a couple of free plays on the hardwood tonight as I look to get off this slide I’ve been on with my free selections.

Brooklyn/Philadelphia Over 199 (-107) $214 to win $200
Philly is such a bad team that I’m sticking with my general idea with them on this play. Basically it goes that because Philly is so young and lacks general cohesiveness, I look to play ‘unders’ when they are on the road and ‘overs’ when they are at home. The friendly, comfortable surroundings will help the 76ers offense get the job done and to cash an over with this team you really do need to rely on Philly to score. I know that Philly will give up plenty of points no matter where they play, but when they can score themselves and pitch in with 100 or so, I like my chances of a high-scoring game.
Sacramento/Houston Over 193.5 (+100) $300 to win $300
Back-to-back here for the Kings after they went into New Orleans last night and beat the Pelicans. Sacramento has been one of the surprise success stories in the league this year at 9-5 SU and they’ve won in a variety of ways. Tonight they are in Houston to take on a Rockets team that’s still searching for their identity this season.
Houston will be missing Dwight Howard again tonight and I believe that helps this bet in two ways. One, Howard won’t be clogging the driving lane in the paint for Houston’s backcourt and the Rockets will be able to spread the floor more. James Harden is one of the best scorers in the league right now and when you give him more room to operate, points can come in a hurry.
Secondly, Howard won’t be in the lane on defense, blocking/altering shots or battling with Cousins for low-post position. That means Cousins has more room to operate and the other Kings can attack the paint more without tremendous fear of having their shot sent right back. Sacramento averages 103.1/game so it’s not like they can’t put the ball in the bucket at will either.
