Well, I couldn’t have been more wrong about the Penguins last night as their offense continues to be stifled by the Caps as they are now 0-3 against Ovechkin and company. Pittsburgh fans better hope those two teams don’t meet up in the playoffs otherwise it could be a long series for the Penguins.

Tonight I’m switching gears a bit and heading over to the college hardwood for my free plays as this is a great time of year when revenge angles can really come into play.

Northeastern -2 (-110) $220 to win $200

San Jose State +13 (-106) $212 to win $200

Both of these teams lost by double digits in the first meeting with their respective opponents and neither loss was very pretty. Northeastern allowed William and Mary to shoot 52% from the floor for the entire game to have four guys finish with double figures. But the Tribe are a much worse team on the road on both ends of the floor and the Huskies should be able to take advantage of that. This is a huge game for both teams as they are battling it out for 1st in the CAA, but I’m expecting the home side to hang tough tonight and get their revenge.

San Jose State isn’t likely to get outright revenge after they lost by 28 to Utah State in the first meeting. The Spartans aren’t a great team by any means (2-22 SU), but four straight blowout losses to Utah State the past four meetings can’t feel good. Tonight’s a chance for them to hang tough with a quality team in their own building and take advantage of a good spot.

Utah State hosts Fresno State on Saturday and the Aggies lost 61-52 in that first meeting. That was a bad loss for this team as they shouldn’t have dropped a game like that and no doubt have one eye looking ahead to that rematch. They know that they just have to show up to beat this SJ State team and won’t be putting out a maximum effort tonight. 13 points is a lot for any team to lay on the road and I believe San Jose State could surprise the Aggies tonight with a tough outing.
