I missed badly with that total in MNF last night as the Colts lit up the Giants from start to finish and cruised to an easy victory. My free NFL picks have not been up to par this season, but thankfully I’ve got at least two days to forget about that league as there is plenty of other action going on elsewhere until then. Tonight we’ve got two college football games in the MAC, eight NBA contests and 12 NHL games, so there is no shortage of action. I’ve already sent out my handful of premium plays to subscribers across all the sports, but there are a couple of quality plays I left off to give to everyone here.

Washington/NY Under 191.5 (-104) $212 to win $200

I think we see a low scoring game at MSG tonight as both of these teams are coming off high-scoring games with the Wizards having played three straight games over the total.

New York is looking for some revenge tonight after getting swept 3-0 in the season series a year ago and the Knicks play their best basketball when they are shutting people down defensively. That’s what they did to the new-look Cavs in their upset win last week (95-90), and they beat the Bobcats in a similar fashion on Sunday (96-93).  With a close spread like we’ve got tonight with the Wizards now small 1-point favorites, this game will be close all evening and should find a way to stay below this total.

OKC/Toronto Under 194 (-105) $210 to win $200

The Raps have yet to stay below a total this year, but hosting a tired and injured OKC team coming off a game last night is a perfect opportunity for Toronto to step up their defense. The Raps want to make it back to the playoffs this year and that means they’ve got to revert back to their strong defensive ways that got them there a season ago. Obviously there is still plenty of time in the season, but with some suspect effort defensively so far this year, not having to face Durant and Westbrook is a great time to clamp down.

Orlando/Chicago Over 190.5 (-109) $327 to win $300

Don’t see too much defense from the Bulls tonight in a game they should easily win. That means that the focus will be on the offensive side of the ball against a Magic team that hasn’t been able to stop anyone this year. Orlando is expected to be poor once again this season and with every opponent scoring 100+ on Orlando this year, Chicago should be able to do the same tonight.

This is the start of a very soft three-game stretch for the Bulls this week (vs. Orlando, Milwaukee, Philly) and it provides them with a chance to rest defensively and become more efficient on offense with their sets. These games are like televised scrimmages for the Bulls and I expect tonight’s score to reflect that.
