Split with my free plays yesterday but managed to add money to my account with the top play on Notre Dame coming through. It was a great “fade” spot for Duke after their monumental win and a tough test on deck, and I’m looking at a similar spot tonight with my NBA Free play.

The Lakers are really bad I know, and not having Kobe or Nick Young tonight doesn’t help. But this is a huge letdown spot for the Bulls after their upset win over the Warriors the other night, ending Golden State’s 19-game home winning streak. Chicago has the uptempo Suns on deck tomorrow and are clearly going to be looking past this depleted Lakers team tonight.
Chicago is just 2-8 ATS after their last 10 victories and 3-6 ATS as favorites against any Western Conference team this year. One of those three wins came against these Lakers on Christmas Day, but that game was in Chicago and the Bulls are 0-2 ATS as road favorites against the West this year. They are also 1-7 ATS in their last eight against a losing team, so motivation against the lesser teams in this league is clearly an issue for Chicago.
Compare those numbers to the fact that LA is 8-4-1 ATS as home underdogs this year when hosting a team that’s coming off a SU underdog win themselves. There weren’t many bigger upset wins than the one Chicago had in Golden State the other night and I fully expect a letdown from Chicago here.
The underdog is 16-7 ATS the last 23 times these two have played and while it may look ugly on the surface, I’m grabbing all those points with the Lakers tonight.
