I passed on free plays last night but managed to go 5-2 with my premium selections and have had a good run with those this week (14-4 last three days). If you aren’t on board yet, check out this link and get your hands on more winners from me.

Today’s free card consists of a few college football free picks as there are a couple of games that just missed out on being part of my premium selections, but believe they are still strong plays none the less.

Syracuse/Pittsburgh Over 49.5 (-106) $212 to win $200

These two teams have split their last two meetings with final scores of 14-13 and 17-16. Those aren’t the type of results that would instill plenty of confidence in this ‘over’ play for some bettors, but when you look at how both teams have played this year, there will be plenty more points scored in this one.

For one, Pitt’s defense can’t stop anyone right now as they’ve allowed 40, 51 and 56 points the last three weeks. It doesn’t matter how many yards or TD’s RB Connor puts up for them when the defense is continually allowing the opponent to move down the field and score. Now that’s all relative to the Panthers looking for wins, but I’m just looking for points here and after four straight games of Syracuse’s offense sputtering, their bye week last week couldn’t have come at a better time.

Two weeks to prepare for this contest is exactly what Syracuse’s offense needed as they should be able to produce against this battered and fragile Pittsburgh defense. Syracuse is 4-1-1 O/U in their last six against a team with a losing record while the Panthers are 5-1-1 O/U after rushing for 200+ yards. The majority of bets already have come in on the low side of this total but the line has moved in the opposite direction. With Pittsburgh routinely giving up 40+ points the last month, we only need about half of that from Syracuse to have a good chance this bet cashes.

Stanford -6 (-106) $318 to win $300

The Cardinal program has took a step back this year and while many clamor for the days when Andrew Luck was under center at Stanford, I’m ready to back them this week against a Cal team that struggles to play physical football teams.

Stanford did not expect to come into this game tied with Cal at 5-5 SU and after two consecutive losses the Cardinal will be out for blood today. They beat up on Cal 63-13 last year in this game as 31-point favorites and although this year’s game won’t be that big of a blowout, I expect the Cardinal to dominate from start to finish all the same.

Stanford is 6-1 ATS after their last seven losses and have a 6-1 ATS mark after scoring less than 20 points in theri last game. The road team is also 4-1 ATS the last five times these two have played and with Cal being 3-12 ATS in their last 15 at home, I don’t believe their finesse brand of football will have much success against an angry Stanford team this week.
