With Klay Thompson going off for 37 points in the 3rd quarter, my ‘under in that game had little chance of cashing. But I was able to get there with my top play on the ‘over’ in Houston/Phoenix to grab a winning day out of the 1-1 night. I’m looking to add a few more winners to my record with these free plays tonight as I continue to try and get these free play numbers back to where they need to be.

Michigan State -2.5 (-110) $220 to win $200
It’s revenge time for the Spartans after they lost 60-51 as 14-point home favorites last year in the last meeting between these two programs. Nebraska is strong on defense having held three of their last four opponents under 50 (all at home), but this Spartans team will not be fazed by that and will look to take it too the Cornhuskers right from the start. The higher the score climbs the worse off Nebraska is, so look for Michigan State to push the pace early to try and establish their dominance and get this game into the 60’s sooner than later. They will not be surprised by how good Nebraska is defensively like they were last year and won’t get caught taking them lightly either. The Spartans cannot afford to fall further back in the tight Big 10 standings, I have no problem laying the points here.
Baylor -2 (-110) $330 to win $300
Baylor is another team looking for revenge tonight, but their’s is same-season revenge after losing by 10 to Oklahoma on January 3rd. The Bears couldn’t get anything to drop that day as they shot 37% from the field and this team is much better offensively at home.
Oklahoma is coming off a hard-fought game @ Kansas where they valiantly battled back from a 19-point halftime deficit to get close to winning the game outright. A game like that takes a lot out of a team physically and mentally and with their next contest being in another tough place to play, I don’t like their chances of sweeping this season series.
Baylor is 10-1 SU at home this year and with this spread being so low, you basically are picking the outright winner. With this game also fitting the unranked/lower ranked home favorite theory, I’m backing the Bears.

Detroit/Milwaukee Over 195.5 (-105) $210 to win $200
Milwaukee played their first game ‘over’ the total in a long time on Thursday night and we were able to cash with that free pick here. I believe that same uptempo pace and suspect defense will follow the Bucks around for their next few games and would not be surprised to see them pull off a string of ‘overs’ over their next few contests.
Detroit has shown over the past month that they prefer to play a faster style these days, after putting up 128 points in their last outing. We’ve got a referee crew that all average 202 or more points per game and with the ‘over’ being 5-2 in the last seven games between these two, I believe we see some points.
Detroit is 20-7-2 O/U in road games where they are playing a team with a losing road record and 10-4 O/U after having a full two days off.
Milwaukee may have been the ‘under’ kings recently, but they are 5-1 O/U in their last six against a team with a losing record and that lone ‘under’ came in unfamiliar territory when they crushed the Knicks over in London last week.
