Few factors I like here are:

1.  Standford coming off a big emotional win over Notre Dame last week on Senior Night and we saw the fans storm the field after the game = letdown

2.  USC lost to Standford week 3 – revenge

3. Trojan coach Clay Helton this week received the news he has been hoping for, with the “interim” tag removed from his title and then being signed to a five-year contract as head coach at USC.   Gives the new HC for USC some confidence.
