Friday saw another free play go down as all that steam on the ‘under’ in the CFL game proved to be the right side. It’s on to today’s board though as we’ve got the first full day of CFB action and it’s an exciting day for us here at D Rock Sports. We’ve got another great list of premium plays ready for our subscribers, but here are two free plays for those of you looking for some early action as some big reverse line movement has already occurred on two early totals.
All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts ‘to win’ on favorites and flat on underdogs

UCLA/Virginia Under 54.5 (-108) $216 to win $200
UCLA QB Brett Hundley enters the year as a Heisman hopeful, but it’s a tough opener for the Bruins to be sharp simply because they’ve got to start out on the East coast. The total for this game has dropped three points from it’s opener despite 70% of the action coming in on the high side of things.
Virginia should be an improved team this season with 16 of 22 starters from a year ago and that includes nine on defense. Of those nine, all of them are on the back end with only two new DL earning starting spots this year and while the Cavaliers had a bad 2-10 SU year in 2014, this is a chance for them to step up and prove they can hang with the elite teams in college football. They managed to do so last year in their opener against BYU with a 19-16 win, but the important part of that is the fact that they held the Cougars to only 16 points. Chances are UCLA puts a few more points than that on the board but this Virginia team will surprise many with their defensive play this season.
Troy/UAB Under 63.5 (-112) $336 to win $300
This is another total that’s dropped 2+ points from it’s opener after everyone’s been pounding the high side (80% on over). This is the third straight season that these two have kicked off the season against one another and it’s been the Troy Trojans who have gone 2-0 SU and 1-1 ATS in those meetings.
Troy went out and signed four junior college transfers on the D-line to offset the losses they felt there and the entire secondary is back and ready to get this team back to a Bowl game for the first time since 2010. Troy will feel confident that they can go into UAB and pick up the win and although I doubt that will be the case given the double revenge spot UAB finds itself in, the Trojans D will step up and keep their team in the game.
UAB is hoping for a much improved season as well and they’ve got their entire starting back end on defense returning for another year. This defense allowed the most red zone TD’s in the country last year and that’s been a huge focal point for improvement all off-season and now’s their chance to showcase what they’ve got. With the line move and the ‘under’ still getting juiced the books are clearly taking a position on this total and I’ll be riding it out with them.
