It managed to be a small profitable night with my two free selections as Buffalo jumped all over a disinterested Detroit team early on and jumped out to a 3-0 1st period lead. The Wings woke up in the 2nd and talent took over en route to the 6-4 win. You'll suffer losses like that when you back ugly dogs like the Sabres, but in that particular situation it was nice to know I wouldn't have to sweat the results after the first period with a split and +$100 in my pocket at worst (Should Buffalo lose it would go over) and that's what happened. I'm coming back with a similar play tonight with another large underdog and 'over' play but this team is much better than Buffalo at least. It's back to the ice tonight as we've got three heavy road underdogs this evening and it's actually the worst of the bunch that's caught my eye. Well for one, I love my underdogs in the NHL and they don't get much bigger than this. But it's the quick turnaround revenge angle that has me excited about this play as the Sabres would love to redeem themselves with a win tonight. They know they can beat the Wings (won 3-2 earlier this year at home) and chances are Detroit takes them a little lightly tonight after last week's victory.
