Friday June 27th Betting Action

A tough 1-2 day for me yesterday on the bases as that Atlanta/Houston total couldn't sneak over the number after it was 5-1 after the fifth inning. It's been a bad run for my Top plays of late but I had gone 9-0-1 prior to that so you know a bit of a regression was coming. Secondly, it's Canada Day long weekend up here in the great white north and that means some time for me out by the water relaxing with family and friends. Therefore I won't be posting Saturday or Sunday as I'll be out of town relaxing and recharging for the 2nd half of the baseball season. With July 4th just around the corner for those south of the border, there's no better time than now to get away from behind the computer screen tracking odds/lines/scores and enjoying the sunshine. However, I've put in my work for today and am looking to give you a few winners tonight. As a note, Tampa and Baltimore play a double header today and I would keep in mind this piece when you are looking at Game 2 of the twin bill. It's a day/night double header so there is a lot of time inbetween games to find some quality info. Onto the plays: All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts "to win" on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold MLB YTD: 77-82-10 (+$546) NYM/Pittsburgh Over 8 (+104) $300 to win $312 Very favorable home plate ump behind the dish with Laz Diaz calling balls and strikes tonight. Diaz has a 10-3 O/U record in came's he's called this year and going back to last year he's on a [...]

Thursday June 26th Betting Action

It was a dead even night for me yesterday as my selections went 1-1-1 and I did not win or lose a dollar. Nelson Cruz's grand slam in the late innings helped me get that push on my top play with Baltimore Over 9, while the Yanks and Jays stayed under the total and the Twins didn't show up as a big dog. It's a small card in MLB today with a couple of afternoon tilts so lets get right to the plays. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts "to win" on favorites and flat on underdogs. Play of the Day in Bold MLB YTD: 76-80-10 (+$855) Atlanta/Houston Over 8 (-103) $309 to win $300 We've got an afternoon contest for the series finale between these two as Houston hopes to avoid the sweep. But it's this total I'm playing after two straight 'unders' in the series. There are a few factors that favor this 'over' play as well. First off, we've got lefty Mike Minor going for the Braves and Houston is a much better hitting team against southpaws. They have a .258 team average against lefties this season (compared to .220 vs. righties) and Minor has had a rough go of it lately. Atlanta is 3-0 SU in Minor's last three starts but the starter has never factored into the decision thanks to a 7.31 ERA during that time. He's given up 29 hits in 16 innings of work (5.7 allowed/game) over his last three starts and Houston should be able to jump all over him early. Houston starter Jarred Cosart is no ace either with 4.1 runs allowed/game this year and numerous games where he's been knocked out of the [...]

Wednesday Bet Card

There we go guys 2-1 night TOP play cashes and we made $495 last night.  Looking to make it another winning night tonight with my plays. 1* = $100  TOP FREE PLAY – 34-22-2 (60.7%) (+$4784) MLB YTD 59-60-3 (49.5%) (+$509) NFL YTD 1-0 (100%) (+$310) PARLAY’S YTD (1*) – 1-2 (33.3%) (+$120) YEAR-TO-DATE * - 2* 25-21 (54.3%) 3* 46-50-1 (47.9%) 4* 26-25-3 (50.9%) 5* 3-0 (100%) All lines courtesy Pinnacle Sports TOP play in bold Let the DOGS go wild and HOWL throughout the night guys Rangers ml +135 (3*) - Fits into my system perfectly here - Home DOG with less than 35% of action on them and a game total higher then 8.5 White Sox ml +134 (3*) - Jimenez is winless at home this season with a 6.36 ERA and ranks second last in the majors with 2.64 average runs of support.  Take the White Sox to get to him early and often. Diamondbacks ml +115 (4*) - Cleveland left 12 runners on base and was 4-16 with runners in scoring position.  They have lost 4 straight and confidence is sliding.  Taking the D'backs here to pump out another win before a long road trip. Dodgers ml +130 (3*) - Ya this is a public play yes I know, but Haren has not lost in 7 career starts against the Royals and has a 2.45 ERA.  He's gotten 17 runs of support in his last 3 starts this season.  Shields hasn't lost a decision since May 2, but he's giving up alot of runs with a 5.54 ERA and with a good hitting team in the Dodgers, I'll take that.  He's gotten an average of 7.25 runs of support, but [...]

Wednesday June 25th Betting Action

A tough 1-3 day for me last night as I've become too reliant on blindly taking my strategy-based plays and not using them as strong guidelines when breaking down a game. I'm still up on the year though and that's all that matters, although I am anxious to get my percentage up around the 55% number by year's end. Again it's only MLB action for you tonight so let's get right to it. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts "to win" on favorites and flat on underdogs. Play of the Day in Bold MLB YTD: 75-79-9 (+$855) MLB Plays NYY/Toronto Under 9 (-108) $216 to win $200 Using my strategies as a guideline, we've seen the first two games of this series sail over the total and the Yankees are looking to get out of town and get some rest after tonight. Yankees starter Kuroda  is 10-26-2 O/U in his last 38 road starts and he's also 5-14-1 O/U after only four days off between starts. He's gone 4-21-1 in his lat 26 against a winning opponent and he's also 5-12-3 O/U in his last 20 against an AL East rival. For whatever reason he knows how to shut down the hitters he sees the most and tonight will be no different. On the other side, Hutchinson has shown a strong ability to bounce back after a rough outing and his last start was against these same Yankees. There is no doubt in my mind that he will have a better plan of attack tonight and being at home always helps. With a 3-8 O/U record after a full five days of rest and a 2-8 SU mark in his last 10 [...]

Tuesday Bet Card

1-3 night and lost my TOP play.  It's time to get back in the game and build some consecutive winning days in a row and let's start it tonight. 1* = $100  TOP FREE PLAY – 33-22-2 (60%) (+$4352) MLB YTD 57-59-3 (49.1%) (+$14) NFL YTD 1-0 (100%) (+$310) PARLAY’S YTD (1*) – 1-2 (33.3%) (+$120) YEAR-TO-DATE * - 2* 25-21 (54.3%) 3* 45-49-1 (47.8%) 4* 25-25-3 (50%) 5* 3-0 (100%) All lines courtesy Pinnacle Sports TOP play in bold Pirates ml +121 (3*) - This is crazy to me the Rays have been favored in 60 of 78 games this season and are -29.2 units for that.   Way too much respect for a team that just can't produce.   Pirates are starting to look like the team from 2013 and I will be taking them as a road dog here.  Rays have trouble hitting lefty pitchers.  Take the Pirates money line Reds ml -115 (3*) - The Reds have won Baileys last 10 starts against the Cubs, during that time Bailey is 7-0 with a 3.08 ERA.  Cincy has won 18 of its last 20 at Wrigley Field.  Enough Said take the Reds Phillys ml +108 (4*) - First road start for the rook definitely can not play on a rookies first start on the road.  Phillys have a very favorable home ump tonight and will not buy into this hype with the Marlins rookie.  Faded him large on his first start and were getting a home dog on his second start, SWEET.  Phillys ml all the way!
