Thursday August 7th Betting Action

It was a solid day for us at D Rock Sports yesterday as our premium plays went 3-1, while my two free plays swept the board. All that Houston love from bettors yesterday was the wrong side once again and the Jays showed up in a must-win spot and played some great baseball all the way around. It's a busy day in the sports world tonight with the NFL preseason getting going, a full MLB card and one CFL game, so let's get right to today's plays. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts 'to win' on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold MLB pre-All Star Break: 101-107-13 (+$691) MLB post-All Star Break: 19-17 (+$1583) NFL plays New England/Washington Over 38.5 (-105) $210 to win $200 These two franchises have been holding joint practices all week and that means that both have built up a little animosity for one another over the week and have a good idea of how to attack each other. Both offenses are very deep and will have those same depth guys gunning to make an impression. All of that is a good recipe for a high scoring affair as this game reaches the 40's. CFL play Saskatchewan/Winnipeg Over 54.5 (-106) $318 to win $300 The two highest scoring teams in the CFL meet up for the first time and after a plethora of 'unders' in this league the past few weeks, I believe we see an offensive explosion tonight. Winnipeg averages 28 points per game this year while Saskatchewan sits at 26.8. The Roughriders have been rolling though with back-to-back 30+ point games the last two weeks and knowing that they'll have to [...]

Wednesday FREE PLAY Bet Card

0-1-1 day yesterday, caught a bad beat on the Cubs game with the Cubs not being able to close it out in 11, but we move on to today.  Going to get back to my Team Totals tonight started to veer away from them and losing started to happen.  Tonight I will get back to winning and stick to my favourite plays, Team Totals.  Below as always is my updated record by sport, TOP FREE play and star rating.  Enjoy and lets all have a great night. 1* = $100  TOP FREE PLAY – 46-34-2 (57.5%) (+$4646) PRE-ALLSTAR BREAK MLB YTD 84-87-4 (49.1%) (+$374) POST-ALLSTAR BREAK MLB YTD 12-10-1  (54.5%) (+$461) NFL YTD 1-0 (100%) (+$310) PARLAY’S YTD (1*) – 1-3 (25%) (+$20) YEAR-TO-DATE * - 2* 28-23-1 (54.9%) 3* 62-69-2 (47.3%) 4* 42-39-3 (51.8%) 5* 3-1 (75%) All lines courtesy Pinnacle Sports All lines are "to risk" TOP FREE play in bold Yankees Team Total OVER 4 -129 (3*) - Like the line movement on this towards the Yankees and like the match-up against Verlander tonight.  Verlander could be distracted tonight (Kate Upton) and has been inconsistent all year, Tigers bullpen is horrible and Yankees seem to always put it together nearing for a September push. Red Sox Team Total OVER 3.5 -116 (2*)

Wednesday August 6th Betting Action

I've had back-to-back 1-2 days to start the week, but thankfully both of those wins came via the Top Play to mitigate those losses. Philly was able to get that win in 15 innings for me last night while both Boston and Atlanta squandered multiple opportunities in their respective games. It's on to tonight's board though as I'm excited to get back in the win column with these selections tonight. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts 'to win' on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold MLB pre-All Star Break: 101-107-13 (+$691) MLB post-All Star Break: 17-17 (+$1077) CFL YTD: 5-5 (+$352) MLB plays Philadelphia ML (-138) $276 to win $200 I'm coming back with the Phillies tonight after they won for me yesterday as I just don't have much faith in Houston on the road. Like I said yesterday, the Astros are a team I've loved backing in certain spots this season when the price is right, but once that bandwagon feels a little full after a good run I have no problem jumping off and going against Houston. That good run happened last week vs. Oakland and Toronto and it's time to go against Houston once again tonight. Philly starter David Buchanan has pitched much better recently and is coming off an impressive seven inning, one-run, four-hit victory over Milwaukee. The Astros are a free-swinging bunch and with Buchanan being much better control-wise in his last couple of outings and eliminating those free passes, he'll be able to command the strike zone and get the Astros to swing at some bad pitches. Philly is 4-1 SU in their last five at home and with Houston starter [...]

Tuesday August 5th Betting Action

It was a 1-2 day on Monday with my free plays, thankfully that one win came with the Angels as my top play. You never like losing days, but when you can minimize the loss with a big play cashing it gives you the energy to come back the next day even better. That's what I'm hoping my plays do for you (and us) tonight as we've got a full MLB card to pick from tonight with reverse line movement being the theme of the day. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts 'to win' on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold MLB Pre-All Star Break: 101-107-13 (+$691) MLB Post-All Star Break: 16-15 (+$1174) CFL YTD: 5-5 (+$352) MLB plays Philadelphia ML (+101) $300 to win $303 Many of you know I've been a huge proponent of Houston this year, but after a good run for the Astros last week it feels like too many people are jumping on board now. Houston took two of three from the A's and three of four from the Jays last week and after a day off they are getting about 60% of the action as a road favorite. Think about that for a second: Houston is a road favorite and they are getting the money. The problem is, for as bad as Kyle Kendrick has been for the Phillies, the line is moving in his direction and given he and his teammates are at home, I like the way this game is setting up for them. Sure, they were shutout in back-to-back losses against the Nats this weekend, but a day off for them had to help regroup as they play out the [...]

Tuesday FREE PLAY Bet Card

Lost my only play last night on the small baseball card.  Looking at 2 game totals for tonight for my FREE card and don't forget about our PREMIUM picks 2-1 last night and 4-1 to start the month TRY US OUT with a 7 or 14 FREE TRIAL.   Good luck on all wagers tonight. 1* = $100  TOP FREE PLAY – 46-33-2 (58.2%) (+$4946) PRE-ALLSTAR BREAK MLB YTD 84-87-4 (49.1%) (+$374) POST-ALLSTAR BREAK MLB YTD 12-9  (57.1%) (+$761) NFL YTD 1-0 (100%) (+$310) PARLAY’S YTD (1*) – 1-3 (25%) (+$20) YEAR-TO-DATE * - 2* 28-23-1 (54.9%) 3* 62-68-1 (47.6%) 4* 42-39-3 (51.8%) 5* 3-1 (75%) All lines courtesy Pinnacle Sports All lines are "to risk" TOP FREE play in bold Cubs/Rockies UNDER 10.5 -113 (3*) - Rockies are dinged up with injuries to their top rbi producers and with this high total I don't see it being at this number for long.  Not looking at a pitchers duel tonight, but believe this number is way too high for this game.  This is a pitchers rematch from last Wednesdays game and that total was 7.5 with the game ending in 10 runs with extra inning.  At 10.5 Ill be on this one.  Take the UNDER Mets/Nationals UNDER 7 +100 (3*) - Wheeler has been unbeaten in his last 6 starts and compiling a stingy 1.63 ERA.  Over the 4 game series with the Giants the Mets bats have been ice cold .144 team batting average and a total of eight runs in that 4 game stretch.  Gio has dominated the Mets 6-1 with a 2.45 ERA in his last eight meetings with them.  Take the UNDER here
