Tuesday Nov 11th Betting Action

Yesterday's free premium play on the Pacers managed to get us to the window as the injured Pacers rode Roy Hibbert to the victory. Tonight we've got a handful of games in the NBA, 11 games on the ice and two MAC games in college football. With all that available action out there it's important to be selective with your plays and after sending out 5 premium plays earlier to subscribers, I've got two free plays for you that just narrowly missed out on becoming premiums. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts 'to win' on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold Free Play Records CFL YTD: 6-8 (-$266) NCAAF YTD: 20-20 ATS (-$399)  NFL YTD: 10-15 ATS (-$1568) NHL YTD: 8-5 (+$950) NBA YTD: 6-4 (+$447) NHL Free Play Colorado ML (+121) $200 to win $242 I wrote about this play late last night here as this is just a brutal travel/scheduling spot for the Islanders back after a five-game trip out in California, and preparing for a two-game trip to Florida right after tonight. After being away for a week +, sleeping in their own bed, spending time with their families etc, has been a welcomed way for the Islanders to return home. Playing great hockey has become 2nd, especially since they finished that road trip in Cali very strong with three straight wins over teams like the Ducks and Kings. New York lost 5-0 to Colorado about two weeks ago and would love to get revenge here, but this lone stop at home makes it impossible to consider backing them tonight; especially as favorites. Instead, I'm going with an Avalanche team who's desperate and determined to get a [...]

Monday November 10th Betting Action

I split with my free selections yesterday and lost a bit of change as it was my top play that turned out to be the loser. It's a small board in total tonight with two NHL games, five NBA games and tonight's MNF contest as well. There isn't a whole lot I like tonight (for free plays or premiums), so I thought today I'd follow D Rock's lead from the weekend and give you all a premium play free tonight. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts 'to win' on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold Free Play Records CFL YTD: 6-8 (-$266) NCAAF YTD: 20-20 ATS (-$399)  NFL YTD: 10-15 ATS (-$1568) NHL YTD: 8-5 (+$950) NBA YTD: 5-4 (+$47) NBA Free (Premium) Play Indiana Pacers -2.5 (-102) $408 to win $400 This is one of my four premium selections tonight as I'm surprised to see the Jazz getting the majority of the love in this spot. Yes, the Pacers have had an awful start to their season with a 1-6 SU record, but they are starting to turn the corner with some of these close losses and need to win some games before this season becomes a complete write-off. This is also the 2nd game in as many days for the Jazz who were blown out 120-102 by the Mavs the only other time they've had to do that this season. Utah's road trip got off to a nice start with a 97-96 win vs. Detroit yesterday but this lack of success on back-to-back nights is not a new thing. Utah is 3-9 ATS going back to last season when playing without rest and are just 2-5-2 ATS [...]

Sunday November 9th Betting Action

It was a decent day with my free selections yesterday (2-1), but my NBA play never had a chance. So today I'm sticking only to football as I'm confident in the work I've put in all week on these games and look to finish up in the winner's circle again today. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts 'to win' on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold Free Play Records CFL YTD: 6-8 (-$266) NCAAF YTD: 20-20 ATS (-$399)  NFL YTD: 9-14 ATS (-$1438) NHL YTD: 8-5 (+$950) NBA YTD: 5-4 (+$47) NFL Free Plays Miami/Detroit Over 43.5 (-110) $330 to win $300 Lions QB Matthew Stafford gets a few of his weapons back this week as TE's Ebron and Pettigrew, along with WR Calvin Johnson will be back in the mix. All three of these guys demand attention from opposing defenses and we should see the Lions start flinging the ball all over the yard again. I'm not sold on the Dolphins defense after they shutout the Chargers last week. It was a brutal spot for San Diego as they had to fly cross-country after three consecutive division games and just weren't up to the task. Miami QB Ryan Tannehill will be able to throw the ball against a Detroit D that's strength is up front as the Dolphins O-Line has been improving each week. AFC/NFC games have been great for high-scoring affairs the past couple of seasons and this one should be no different. Green Bay -7 (-120) $240 to win $200 The Bears and Packers are off their bye weeks but while one team looks poised to make a strong playoff push now (Green Bay), the other [...]

Saturday November 8th Betting Action

Got a late start today, but last night's two plays on the teams from Washington netted a small profit as I put more money on the smaller underdog that didn't show up (Wizards). We've got a very busy Saturday with CFB, NBA and NHL, but I'v only found a couple of plays across all sports that I really like. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts 'to win' on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold Free Play Records CFL YTD: 6-8 (-$266) NCAAF YTD: 18-20 ATS (-$899)  NFL YTD: 9-14 ATS (-$1438) NHL YTD: 8-5 (+$950) NBA YTD: 5-3 (+$357) CFB free plays Texas +3 (-104) $312 to win $300 HUGE letdown game for West Virginia after last week's last second loss vs. TCU as it would have been hard for these guys to get motivated all week to play a below-average Longhorns team. Last week's game had College Gameday there, tremendous hype and a win would have catapulted WV up the rankings, but the last second loss has them further back and deflated. Texas views this game from a much different lens though as they see it as a great opportunity to knock of a ranked opponent and build up their own program. They've got this game at home which is a plus, and West Virginia isn't likely to have their best stuff, so don't be surprised to see the Longhorns win this game outright. Notre Dame/Arizona State Over 60.5 (-106) $212 to win $200 Notre Dame's defense has been declining with each passing week as they've allowed 39, 31, and 43 points the past three weeks. Last week's 39 points came from the triple-option attack of Navy and all [...]

Friday November 7th Betting Action

My free plays have really taken a hit this week as I just can't seem to get a bounce or two, or an easy winner to get a roll going again. With CFB, NHL, and NBA on the board tonight there are plenty of betting opportunities out there, so let's get right to tonight's action as I'm hoping for a big night from those that reside in the US capital. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts 'to win' on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold Free Play Records CFL YTD: 6-8 (-$266) NCAAF YTD: 18-20 ATS (-$899)  NFL YTD: 9-14 ATS (-$1438) NHL YTD: 7-5 (+$618) NBA YTD: 5-2 (+$557) NHL Free Pick Washington ML (+166) $200 to win $332 Can't even consider taking Chicago right now at this huge price given their recent struggles at home where they haven't scored a goal in over 8 periods. The Hawks managed to break out of their mini-slump with a 5-0 win @ Montreal last time out and should be able to put a few by a Washington team that's allowed 4+ goals in five straight games, but Chicago is battling the puck right now and are overpriced in a spot like this simply because Washington has lost five in a row. The Caps struggles have come because they can't keep the puck out of their net, but Barry Trotz is a defensive-minded coach and the two days of practice they've had since their last game was spent working on shoring things up in that end. Scoring has never really been a problem for Washington and when you can score you always have a chance. Given the hefty price on the [...]
