It’s that time of year again and with many Survivor pool’s starting tonight (like mine) you must make a decision on who is going to win the dreaded week 1.  Week 1 is a tough week to pick a winner after a long off season and many teams have made alot of changes from QB’s to the coaching staff it can be tricky and nobody wants to loss the first week.  As per requests I will post my weekly pick Thursday’s, and this is a Survivor pick that I have as well.  Going with the masses and taking a Green Bay, Indy or a Dallas team may look to be a safe pick, but there’s a really good chance that one of those teams will lose outright and I do not want to go down early with the masses, this is a strategy I like to avoid.  This also allows me to save the stronger teams to the end if I do eventually make it there.  I also do not like taking a road favorite to win early as upsets do happen and tend to take home teams early on.

Teams I would avoid week 1:  Carolina, Miami, Cincy, Indy, Seattle, Philly
