Just like I did for the NFC Championship, here are three prop bets I’m on for the AFC Title game later today.

Again, lines courtesy of the Greek:

Prop Bet #1: Andrew Luck Over 2.5 TD Passes (+125) $100 to win $125

Although I do like this full game ‘under’ the 53.5/54, we will see both teams score in the 20’s. The Colts don’t run the ball very well at all and even near the goal line they’ll want to keep the ball in the hands of their best player (Luck). I know 3 TD’s is a lot to ask for in his first AFC Championship game, but Indy has a legitimate shot at pulling off the upset here and they’ll need Luck to have a big game for that to happen.

Don’t forget I could be wrong with my full game ‘under’ bet and if that’s the case, Luck should have little issue with cashing in three times.

Prop Bet #2: Brandon LaFell Under 62.5 Receiving Yards (-120) $120 to win $100

LaFell has fallen out of favor in this offense with a healthy Gronk and Edelman back in the mix. Add in the shifty Amendola in there and the past success New England has had running the ball in blowout wins over the Colts and I just don’t see how LaFell gets that many opportunities to see the ball tonight.

Prop Bet #3: Coby Fleener Over 40.5 Receiving Yards (-115) $115 to win $100

The Colts haven’t had much success against the Patriots since Luck arrived, but the same can’t be said about his old Stanford teammate Coby Fleener. Between last year’s playoff loss to the Pats and the meeting earlier this season, Fleener has caught 13 of 18 passes thrown his way for 218 yards. He had seven catches on seven targets for 144 yards in this year’s game alone and with long passes of 45 and 29 yards in those two games, he usually finds a way to stretch one of those receptions down the seem.

The chemistry he has with Luck is undeniable given they have played together since their college days and just like TE Jason Witten is Romo’s “security blanket” when the Cowboys need a play to move the chains, Luck looks at Fleener the same way. His past success against the Pats can’t be ignored here as he may only need two or three receptions to clear this number.
