Never had a chance with the ‘over’ in my NBA selection yesterday, but thanks to a strong 4th quarter by Hamilton in the Grey Cup I was able to hit that as my top play. A questionable block in the back penalty negated a game-winning punt-return in the final minute for Hamilton or I would’ve hit with the ML play as well.

Not much love for the struggling Jazz tonight as they’ve lost five in a row and have lost four of those by double digits. Tonight they host a Denver team that’s going in the opposite direction with six wins in their last seven and are scoring at will nearly every night. However, the Nuggets don’t play much defense in general and with this being the first of a back-to-back as they fly right back home to host the Blazers tomorrow, I’m not sure we see the best effort from Denver tonight.

Utah is 4-1 ATS after a double-digit home loss and 5-2 ATS after failing to cover the spread the last time out. The Jazz are also 5-2 ATS after a double-digit loss at any venue and have an 8-2 ATS run going when they’ve had one day off. Both of these teams are known for their home court advantage and I think that comes into play tonight as the Jazz take this one.

The Bruins begin a road trip out in California tonight and they want to get it started on the right foot. They are 17-5 SU in their last 22 against a team from the Pacific Division and have a 4-1 SU run going after scoring two goals or less. Two full days off helps them prepare for this one as Boston is 4-1 SU after having two days off and with Anaheim having lost two in a row, I think we see that streak extended tonight.
