I was able to get a easy sweep last night with my two plays posted here on the site as Detroit and Washington set a blistering pace and never let up, while the Ducks and Kings had 5 goals by the 2nd intermission and blew up for five more in the 3rd period alone. It’s nice to have easy wins like that because they don’t come all that often. Tonight we’ve got an NFL game to go along with three CFB games, four NBA games and a full slate of NHL games, so let’s get right to tonight’s free plays.

Colorado ML (+154) $300 to win $462
The struggling Avalanche are out in New York tonight to take on the Rangers, and Colorado needs to desperately stop the bleeding. The Avalanche have lost seven of their past 10 overall and are 1-5-2-1 SU on the road this year. I realize those numbers don’t exactly exude confidence when making this play, but tonight’s the night Colorado turns it around and gets a W.
Colorado was embarrassed on Tuesday night in a 6-0 loss to the Islanders, while the Rangers were beating up on the Penguins (5-0) at the same time. Two lopsided results like that create a huge difference in perception of these two teams as many aren’t afraid to lay the chalk with NYR tonight.
But this is a sandwich spot for the Rangers as they head to Pittsburgh after tonight’s game for a rematch with the Penguins. With Tampa Bay on deck after that, it’s tough for New York to emotionally “get up” for a game like this against a struggling non-conference foe. Colorado is 5-2 SU in their last seven games at MSG and have won four of the last five meetings overall with the Rangers. New York is just 2-8 SU after their last 10 victories and with one eye on the return match with the Penguins, I believe Colorado finds a way to take this one.
Buffalo ML (+305) $200 to win $610
I’m taking a small shot with the toothless Sabres tonight as they are in Minnesota to take on a Wild team that’s lost four in a row. Minnesota hasn’t scored more than 1 goal in any of those four losses and that’s a good sign for the Sabres who don’t score many goals themselves.
However, the more interesting thing here is the fact that Buffalo is 5-2 SU the last seven times they’ve played at Minnesota and the road team is 10-3 SU in the last 13 games between these two. Buffalo’s been embarrassed the last two times on the ice with 6 goals against each time and tonight I think we see some professional pride kick in for this team.

East Carolina/Cincinnati Over 71.5 (-108) $216 to win $200
Following the line move here as we’ve got two teams that are no strangers to scoring points. ECU has stumbled of late thanks to numerous turnovers keeping them out of the endzone, but the Bearcats aren’t great at turning the ball over. Both teams have had two weeks to prepare for this game and that means the offensive gameplans on both sides will be sharp. ECU and Cincinnati average 35 points per game this year and with neither team having an exceptional defense, we should get an old fashioned shootout tonight.
