Got a late start today, but last night’s two plays on the teams from Washington netted a small profit as I put more money on the smaller underdog that didn’t show up (Wizards). We’ve got a very busy Saturday with CFB, NBA and NHL, but I’v only found a couple of plays across all sports that I really like.

Texas +3 (-104) $312 to win $300

HUGE letdown game for West Virginia after last week’s last second loss vs. TCU as it would have been hard for these guys to get motivated all week to play a below-average Longhorns team. Last week’s game had College Gameday there, tremendous hype and a win would have catapulted WV up the rankings, but the last second loss has them further back and deflated.

Texas views this game from a much different lens though as they see it as a great opportunity to knock of a ranked opponent and build up their own program. They’ve got this game at home which is a plus, and West Virginia isn’t likely to have their best stuff, so don’t be surprised to see the Longhorns win this game outright.

Notre Dame/Arizona State Over 60.5 (-106) $212 to win $200

Notre Dame’s defense has been declining with each passing week as they’ve allowed 39, 31, and 43 points the past three weeks. Last week’s 39 points came from the triple-option attack of Navy and all that running definitely left a few bruises on those Irish players. Notre Dame is now back facing a more traditional offense who loves to put up 30+ on you because while their defense has improved, they aren’t elite by any stretch of the imagination.

This game will be back and forth all afternoon with quite possibly the team with the ball last winning it on that final drive. As long as those drives turn into 7 points and not 3’s, we should be able to cash this over.

Boston/Chicago Under 194 (-105) $210 to win $200

The Bulls had their fun last night in scoring 118 points on the Sixers. Chicago knew they wouldn’t have to lock down and play their hard-nosed defense in a game like that because they had the better scoring talent and could win on that alone. But the challenge gets a bit tougher tonight against Boston and I expect to see that vaunted Bulls defense we’ve come to expect from the Thibideau era.

What makes me like this play even more is the fact that Philly scored nearly 40 points in the 4th last night in garbage time against the Bulls. They actually made a game of it and there is no way that coaching staff was happy on the flight home. That will be a sticking point for this team tonight and with three of the last four meetings between these two teams going ‘under’ and topping out at 176 points (in those unders), I believe we see a similar result tonight.
