Thursday June 5th Betting Action

Yesterday was filled with a little bit of luck both ways as I went 0-1-2 with my selections. I was lucky to get a push with my totals in NHL and MLB, and was unlucky to have the Red Sox come back before eventually losing in extras to a walk-off HR. Can't dwell on what could have been though as it's on to tonight's card with some afternoon action included. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts "to win" on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold NBA YTD: 12-13-1 (-$187) NHL YTD: 9-12-3 (-$177) MLB YTD: 47-54-7 (-$449) MLB Plays Philadelphia/Washington Under 7.5 (-111) $222 to win $200 The Phillies are a complete mess right now as they've lost five in a row and their pitching has been brutal. Their bullpen is completely spent because their starters can't go deep into games anymore and Kyle Kendrick has the task of trying to change that tonight. Kendrick has had a lot of success against the Nats in the past except for a couple of hitters (Harper, Desmond, Zimmerman) but Harper won't be playing today and Kendrick should pitch well. He's got a strong wind blowing in from left field to help him keep the balls in the yard (he's a flyball pitcher) and the Phillies are 3-7 O/U in his last 10 starts on the road. Doug Fister gets the nod for Washington and he's rounding into form with his new team. He's only given up 2.7 runs per start over his last three and I think we see a similar number put up tonight. Miami/Tampa Over 7.5 (+105) $300 to win $315 Two of the weaker pitchers we've [...]

Wednesday Bet Card

Losing day yesterday 1-3 with my card, but I'm not worried today is a new day and the best do have losing days so let's get going with today's action. 1* = $100  TOP FREE PLAY – 26-12-1 (68.4%) (+$5613) NBA YTD 16-20 (44.4%) (-$1118) MLB YTD 33-26-1 (55.9%) (+$3145) NHL YTD 17-12-1 (58.6%) (+$627) NFL YTD 1-0 (100%) (+$310) PARLAY’S YTD (1*) – 0-2 (0%) (-$200) YEAR-TO-DATE * - 2* 19-13 (59%) 3* 30-30 (50%) 4* 15-15-2 (50%) 5* 3-0 (100%) All lines courtesy Pinnacle Sports TOP play in bold Brewers ml -103 (4*) - Brewers get there slugger back in the line-up tonight against the twins and look for Ramirez to make an early difference.  With the interleague game tonight he can land in the DH spot and land more power with the Brew Crew.  Nolasco in 8 starts against the Brewers he has posted a 2-3 record with a 7.58 ERA.  He is also 4-12 his last 16 starts in June including 1-9 his last ten at home. Brewers first 5 pk -110 (4*) Rockies ml -118 (3*) -  Going back to this play after yesterday wasn't the right spot for the win that I thought it was.  The game changer here for me is Arizona's Collmenter is coming off his best start of his career and once that is said, there is no way he will duplicate that performance back to back.  With the Rockies desperate for a win look for Collmenter to get lit up early and often tonight. Lyles has pitched well at home going 3-1 in four starts this season.

Wednesday June 4th Betting Action

Got back into the winner's circle with last night's 2-1 day on the diamond. My play of the day on the over in LAA/Houston with C.J Wilson on the road cashed and his starts away from home are going to be something you should keep on eye on the rest of the year. No time to dwell on yesterday's results though so let's get right back at it with tonight's plays. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts "to win" on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold NBA YTD: 12-13-1 (-$187) NHL YTD: 9-12-2 (-$177) MLB YTD: 47-53-6 (-$229) NHL Plays NYR/LA Under 5 (-117) $351 to win $300 Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals tonight and with nerves a plenty on both sides and two of the best goalies in the world in between the pipes, I don't believe we will see one of those track-meet games we saw plenty of last round. Four of the last six Game 1's in the Stanley Cup Final have stayed under the total of 5 and those two 'overs' came in the years when Chicago was involved. This series will be one where the defensive aficionados stand up and watch with excitement after a very high-scoring post-season so far and it starts tonight with Game 1. MLB Plays Boston ML (+126) $200 to win $252 Boston is looking to avoid getting swept tonight and I believe they make good on that goal. Cleveland's Corey Kluber has been spectacular for the Indians this year - especially at home - but this is a young pitcher that is long overdue for a regression to the mean. Boston's bats started to wake [...]

Tuesday Bet Card

Yesterday I took the day off because it was my anniversary, but I'm back at it today and ready to start another week putting checks by my plays.  Have a 8-1 run going on my TOP play after cashing another one on Sunday and look another one tonight.  All diamond tonight, love it, let's get it started. 1* = $100  TOP FREE PLAY – 26-11-1 (70.2%) (+$6013) NBA YTD 16-20 (44.4%) (-$1118) MLB YTD 32-23-1 (58.1%) (+$3891) NHL YTD 17-12-1 (58.6%) (+$627) NFL YTD 1-0 (100%) (+$310) PARLAY’S YTD (1*) – 0-2 (0%) (-$200) YEAR-TO-DATE * - 2* 19-13 (59%) 3* 29-29 (50%) 4* 15-13-2 (53.5%) 5* 3-0 (100%) All lines courtesy Pinnacle Sports TOP play in bold Angels Team Total OVER 4.5 -102 (4*) - Waited for this line and got good value at -102.  Angels faced the A's aces and good pitching staff and now go face the Astros pitching staff.  It's like going from the big leagues to the farm team here, look for them to hit the ball all over the field tonight. Rockies Run line -1.5 +120 (4*) - Rockies come home for some much needed re-grouping.  Lost 4 straight on the road and this is there bounce back game here.  Arizona's Anderson has given up 9 runs (6 earned) in his last two outings and it's not going to get any easier tonight.  For the Rockies De La Rosa is hot right now 6-0 with a 1.80 Era over his last seven starts and with no Goldschmidt tonight you have a 10 home run, 38 RBI man out of the line up its  going to be hard to put runs up on the board. White Sox/Dodgers UNDER 7 +118 [...]

Tuesday June 3rd Betting Action

I started the week with a small losing day going 1-1 on my plays but my top play on the 'under' in the Padres never really having a chance. I'm still trying to recover from a horrible 7+ days in MLB but I'm confident I'll get back there as there are quite a few plays I like on tonight's MLB board. All lines taken from Pinnacle Sports with bet amounts "to win" on favorites and flat on underdogs Play of the Day in Bold NHL YTD: 9-12-2 (-$177) NBA YTD: 12-13-1 (-$187) MLB YTD: 45-52-6 (-$509) MLB Plays Toronto/Detroit Over 9 (-110) $220 to win $200 The Jays gave starter Drew Hutchinson a few extra days of rest prior to this start because they believe he was fatigued and his declining velocity proved their concerns. Hutchinson has been hit or miss for Toronto all year but I wouldn't want to throw him out there with regressing stuff against the #1 batting average team in the AL (Detroit) after the Tigers are looking to bust out after getting blanked in their last game. We've got a strong wind blowing out to left field tonight and given all the power and potential for HR's on both sides, this should be an old fashioned slugfest. Six of the last seven games between these two have gone over the total and Toronto is 7-1 O/U the last eight times they've been a road underdog. Be prepared for fireworks tonight LAA/Houston Over 8 (-114) $342 to win $300 C.J Wilson is out on the road again tonight and even though I got burned with the 'over' in his last road start, I couldn't get much help from the other side [...]
